25. Oddly enough it wasn't a trick - the second one was taken
a half an hour after he left....

32. It's not a trick. In Ohio he wanted to hold intimate townhalls, despite the demand
from supporters to attend. Even knowing they didn't have tickets, supporters showed up early on a Sunday morning and waited outside. I don't understand the logic-why not fit as many people as possible into a venue? I believe it is a preference thing on his part.

When do you planned on getting started on the "work that we need to do" now that we know Obama will be the nominee? After you get rid of all your grapes?

Staging is Politics 101 and TV 101. And don't get me started on lighting and lens choices.

...only because I'll bet they could have filled the place, and a lot of people would have loved to have been there. Of all campaigns--the Obama campaign doesn't need this kind of stagecraft to make an event look well attended.

I'm sure there is a "reasonable" explanation..but he could have filled the place..it sure the hell wasn't a matter of people not wanting to be there.

26. Nobody likes the "ticket" idea and the parking at State kept some away
I myself had an appointment for my son so was running behind and was just getting dinner ready for him at 8:00 but I would have liked to go. Also it wasn't really advertised, no emails were sent out it was strictly word of mouth.

If that is a rally - why are there tables and chairs?

Could it be that this is a press conference or even a local organisation planning and meeting?

34. I'm assuming this was for the victory speech.
In Bloomington, he filled the basketball arena to the rafters. No open seats. 21,000 as I recall.

In our little burg, we have an arena that seats 14,000, and he would have stuffed it to the gills. But, he chose to go with a local high school's gym that seats 3,000; the tickets were given away in less than 20 minutes.

Raleigh is in the middle of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill-Carey; he took that area in the primary with huge numbers. If he wanted to fill the arena, he would have.

=================

P.S. Bill Clinton also visited our town. He chose to speak at a high school -- one the is one quarter the size of the school where Obama spoke. He spoke to less than 1000 people at a tiny gym less than 400 yards from the University's 14,000 seat arena. Curious, eh?
