Or at least she'll get to sit in the front of her state section. So she can be up close and personal while Obama gives his acceptance speech. :)

68. Give me a break...
It's Hil supporters like you that tick me off. Popular vote means NOTHING in the primaries, if it did, there'd be no caucuses, because states would be disenfranchising themselves because of typically lower turnout for caucuses. He is comfortably ahead in delegates, the two states that tried to circumvent the DNC rules are not going to count as they are, and they shouldn't. I know you'd like to believe that Obama would get zero votes in MI, but I am quite certain he'd outright win there, and garner hundreds of thousands of votes. It is over, quite simply. Your time of acting like an indignant jerk on DU is ticking to an end, one way or another. I wish I wouldn't have emptied my ignore list. Your handle is not conducive to the way you carry yourself here.

76. Considering your candidate has dumped 11.4 million of her
own money into her campaign, you may want to reconsider the whole elitist argument.. not that it was ever true in the first place. Why can't Hillary supporters use actual facts to attack Obama? You really believe a black man raise by a single mom grew up to be an elitist, but Hillary and her 109 million dollars is a hero to the working class? Good luck with that :eyes: You know, I try to stick up for her when there are lame repuke style attacks but some of her supporters are making it difficult.

17. I remember once a while back Obama was
addressing the experience issue and he said it's important to remember that it's not only experience that's important, but good judgement, as well. Experience without good judgement is useless. But with good judgement, you can successfully handle most things.

I think it's great when someone is a fighter. I think it's even better when they have the good judgement to be able to weigh the costs and the benefits of a fight to make sure it's really worth it and not just keep on digging that hole just to say they're still digging it.

This is just another area, along with integrity, where I feel Clinton is sorely lacking: good judgement.

I'm truly sympathetic for the position you find yourself in, but not to the point where I'm indulging fantasies as long as Clinton insists on continuing to run. She will most certainly go on to Denver, as a member of the democratic party who will be participating in the process of getting behind Obama for the run against McCain. As a prominent, important such member. But not as anything more. There's no longer any chance in hell of that. Before last night there was a chance of her still going as a candidate that was still definitely going to lose but might cause a ruckus on the way down... but no longer. The nomination will now be completely locked up well in advance of Denver whether she's still calling herself a candidate in the running or not.

78. No chance? Don't be so sure.
I'm an Obama supporter. I chose to reply to your post on this thread because, as I have posted before, Hillary is correct when she says this is not over.

She will continue to argue that she beat Sen Obama in the states we need to win in November, NOT including MI and FL. I realize that IN goes Repub in Presidential elections so Obama's losing there yesterday may be immaterial. However, it is our neighboring state and he lost. Not by much at all, but he lost.

I think the super delegates may still have Hillary's arguments in mind. Otherwise I have to believe they would have all been off the fence this morning. Other than McGovern ( a man I respect tremendously)calling for her to drop out there hasn't been a cascade of supers announcing for Obama.

I also have to admit that, rather than her being delusional, she wants to show that she is a fighter. Remember, both our candidates have obstacles to overcome that McCain doesn't. Hillary has to PROVE that she's tough. Do you think McCain has to do that? And McCain's temper?
He's taken control of it and I doubt he'll lose that control. However, if he does the Repubs will spin it as passion. Obama has the opposite problem. As an African American panelist said on MSNBC last night, Obama does not DARE show anger. If he does he will then be perceived as an ANGRY BLACK MAN and he's done.

Finally, I believe it's possible that she wants to be able to say to her supporters that she played it out to the very end, rather than saying "I give up". So let Hillary fight on. It will be important to see how Obama responds. My prediction is that this will be a very close election again. Repubs are lousy at governing but good at winning elections. This primary fight may actually be good preparation for the GE.

67. I have gained infinitely more respect for Hillary during these primaries.
She just won't be denied. She just has a drive to win. Losing is abhorrent to every bone in her body. In the face of idiots like Russert telling her everyday she can't go on, she ignores them and soldiers on. She should be a role model to everyone. She might take a punch and fall down, but she'll get right back up and be better than ever.

73. But why is that admirable???
Seriously.... I want to know....

I just don't all get this "She's a fighter! Isn't that special!" stuff Why is it so wonderful to fight, especially when it seems she is fighting just for the sake of fighting. Isn't working things out a better option? Saving the fight for when there is no other option? Knowing when to reserve one's stregth or change one's tactics?

You know, I deal with pre-schoolers who have special needs. We have one little guy with some serious emotional issues... the kid's a fighter all right, and it's one of the saddest things you'll ever see. Unless there is a serious and miraculous change in this little guy's make-up he will be one unhappy fella for the rest of his life. Lately Hillary is reminding me a lot of him.

Part of being an adult is knowing when to give up.

77. sorry but this seems a bit loony at this point
39 more delegates and Obama has the majority. Her only plans for winning are morally bankrupt.

1) try to swing supers away from their constituencies.
2) Try to get MI and FL included.
3) sue.

Fighting is fine but i think you have to be on the side of right to be considered noble.

79. Oh my! Are you suggesting that you need balls to be powerful?
:sarcasm:

I thought Hillary supporters had a strict no-sexism code.
