Let's put aside the delusional spinning, shall we?
Apparently the talking points among the lunatic fringe part of the Clinton support crowd have made their appearence: Obama couldn't close the deal (even though everyone agrees Clinton is done for, including most of her own supporters), Obama couldn't win among Hillary's core demographic of blue collar middle aged white women (a group he lost by a lot less than Hillary lost the black vote, which is more crucial to us winning), etcetera, etcetera.

Not even the fact that Clinton's razor-thin margin of victory is unquestionably attributable to Limbaugh listeners crossing over to vote for the weaker candidate seems to dissuade these few loud voices of discord.

Folks... give it up. The race is over. It's been over for awhile, but now all but the most die-hard are willing to accept it. And your candidate knows it too, whether she's willing to say so or not, otherwise she wouldn't have cancelled public appearences for tomorrow. That means they're holding strategic talks about how and when to bring down the curtain. We have a nominee, and it's Barack Obama. And now we're going to go on to win in November.

1. You really are a piece of work aren't you? So you really think those of us that just don't
like your candidate should just jump right on board? Why? Because folks have been so nice to us during the primary? Sorry, but if Obama is the nominee, I really don't think we will win in November but we must agree to disagree.

2. I guess we'll find out in an Obama v. McCain matchup, because we have ourselves a nominee.

5. Sounds like you've been drinking the Hillary kool-aid
because that's her message of hope: No He Can't

7. Why can't Obama beat McCain in November???
I seem to hear this meme from Senator Clinton supporters yet rarely any details...care to add yours?
Just so you know, I think the neo-cons threw McCain under the bus (again) with this nomination because they knew that it would be impossible for ANY Republican to become our next POTUS.

8. Anyone who still thinks Hillary should stay in the race
after tonight must be a POW who hates the Democratic party.

9. I don't care if you don't jump on board, but you ARE expected not to slash the tires.
And whining about people not being nice to you during the primary is rich coming from somebody who earlier tonight was screaming about Lawrence O'Donnell being a misogynistic bag of shit because he didn't agree with you.

You are free to take your ball and go home if that's what you want, but Hatred Hour is over.

12. it depends on what you want more, McCain or Obama
if you want McCain more than Obama, then feel free to sit this one out and pout.

if you are like me and want any Democrat more than McCain, then you support the standard bearer.

it really is up to you.

no Democrat is going to win without a lot of support from Hillary's voters, so the ball is in your court.

Democrat or Republican this fall --it is your choice. You can decide whether one person is more important than the party and ideas they will support once elected versus what we know McCain will support if he is elected.

if this is a hard decision for you, then i question whether you are actually a Democrat at all.

i'm not trying to be mean or nice, i'm just being honest with you about what you are deciding.

it's your move now, though you may feel disenfranchised by the party you have all the power to make the party fail in November.

you have lots of say. we can't kiss up or offer you anything more than you have now, pure, raw power that you can exercise to support our ideals. if those ideals are more important than what we say to you during petty bickering, then you should have no problem supporting Obama.

if your ideals are NOT more important than petty bickering, then I take it you will not support Obama. You decide.

3. Well, you wouldn't want "delusional" people to vote for Obama now, would you?
Just sayin'.

6. Her cancelling appearances tomorrow is puzzling
because she had her game face on in her speech and seemed excited about continuing, even if it was partially faked.

10. She doesn't know how to be 'real' and admit she is
down for the count with no chance of getting up.

11. I think somebody must have thrown cold water on her after the speech.
Maybe she didn't know the extent of the numbers at the time, and thought she was still winning by more than she was. Or maybe it was the reported conversation with Wes Clark, telling her she needed to fold up shop. You're right, though--there's a definite difference between the absurdly unreal "victory" speech, and the later actions.
