31. I think the difference is that
Republicans voting for Obama in the primary will likely vote for him in November, whereas the Republican voters for Hillary are likely part of "Operation Chaos" and will support McCain in November. The Clintons are HATED amongst Republicans, so I don't buy a large contingent of Republican votes for Hillary because they "support her".

39. As long as they vote for the Democrat in November, I welcome
republican voters... Some are just actually sick of Bush Politics and are looking for someone new, but do not want to leave their party...

To me there is no difference, both camps are getting Republican votes... The best of luck to both of them in my book....

34. I suppose that depends who, if anyone, Clinton chooses to endorse.
Many Obama supporters say she's already endorsed McCain. If so, she has nothing to lose by doing it again. Personally, I think those Obama supporters are liars. But, giving them the benefit of the doubt, what's to stop her from actually doing so?

33. Yes they do...
It's a shame. Just 2 months ago I was optimistic about this election cycle. Trying to find even-handed democratic discourse online has completely poisoned the well. Now chalk me in among the ones who'll have to have a serious debate with myself about what to do if Obama is the nominee. His supporters are truly dishonest, belligerent, antagonistic people.

If you don't recognize that the dishonesty, belligerence, and antagonism in this election started with Clinton and the Clinton supporters, then you're either willfully blinding yourself, or being utterly disingenuous.

41. it's your loss....
just electing Mr Obama would vastly improve the US image, and that's a tragedy. The US is the nazi germany of modern times- a nation that has gotten away with war crimes for far too long. But junyer bush has exposed the fact that the nation, known as USA, was just as much a victim of the rightwing pigfukkers as any other nation (why are all those Iraq veterans killing themselves? Cuz after one does certain things, living is no longer possible, and bushamerica has been committing atrocities since, well since they stole the country from the Indians)
Many would like to see Barack given the keys to the White House, but that would be cheating, in a way. Better that the white racists get what theyall want :)
Then again, life exist in only one place in this vast universe; one tiny spark in an entity that has been expanding at lightspeed from its centrepoint for 20 billion years. One spark. One. And basing the future upon lies and larceny and hypocrisy probably dooms the spark to silent death, well earned. Obama represents the spark, and everything else kills it....

16. grain of salt.
First, the "operation chaos" theory doesn't play in NC, where registered repubs can't vote in the Dem. primary. Maybe a bunch of repub leaning indpendent voters (who can vote in the primary) are skewing it. But it also may just reflect the hard feelings of the campaign.

In the end, I'm having trouble believing a lot of Democrats -- particularly Democratic women -- are going to vote to put Roe v. Wade in jeopardy.

my fav exit poll is the one that says 63% said clinton attacked obama unfairly and the 54% that thought obama DIDNT attack clinton unfairly...

how anybody could vote for someone they think is a dirty/shadey person is beyond me... makes me question the results if she wins anything... or it seriously asks the question of how imporant morality is ;)

21. She has brilliantly maneuvered her way onto the ticket...

I have to hand it to her... she knew she couldn't win but also knew she could hold the VP slot hostage. She has backed him into a corner where he must put her on the ticket or lose the General Election.

As an Obama supporter, I must say I'm impressed.

And I also have to say, it's not a bad idea...

I really didn't want her on the ticket in the beginning but frankly, seeing her fight as hard as she has, she might make a great attack dog as VP. Barack can play unifier/good cop, and she can put the smack down when he can't play that role.

Her negatives would only make him more of a target to the right - and throuogh the whole GE he'd be campaining against Republican attacks using Hillary's talking points. How's THAT work for her being the VP?

Those kind of poll answers are meaningless. They indicate current attempts by respondents to sway current primaries, not actual actions in the fall. Hillary has lost, and many of her supporters are not taking it well, so they rage against the tide.

36. I have a different theory about this.
Obama supporters pretty much know they AREN'T going to have to vote for Clinton. They're going to be able to vote for their choice of candidate. So it's a lot easier for them (I include myself in this group) to say sure, I'd vote for Clinton, snarf.

But for Clinton supporters, they know they'll most likely be faced with Obama or McCain, neither of them their choice.

It also could be SOME Republicans voting for Hillary, but you gotta remember, that honestly doesn't net a whole hell of a lot of votes and it only works in open primary states (or if they were super motivated in a closed primary state and actually changed their party affiliation before the deadline).
