Voting for hillary in the GE.
I hear many people from both sides claiming they won't vote for their candidates opponent.

I agree with the Obama people ....but disagree with the hillary people.

Why ?

Because if hillary gets the nod it will because the SD threw the will of the people in the garbage....then the Hillary supporters will ask the Obama supporters to vote for the very person who just threw their vote in the garbage.

Not gonna happen.

The only reason the hillary supporters won't vote for Obama is because we refuse to vote for someone that just threw our vote in the garbage.

Hillary claims she wants MI and FL counted ...when in reality, she wants NONE of the votes counted.

16. They also probably won't bother to show up for O-man
after the truth is known and he is no longer the hip and trendy candidate.

19. AND they will give up on the political process. We will have lost so much.
A bright future squashed in just a moment.

5. I would feel obligated to vote for her
Edited on Fri May-02-08 06:26 PM by bluestateguy
But that's all she'll get from me: a quiet mark on the ballot under her name on election day. No more. I live in a swing state and can't play games with my "conscience". The $1000 I have set aside to give the presidential nominee would be given to other down ballot candidates. Now, if she won the nomination fair and square, I'd do everything I could for her, with money, volunteer work and my time, but that now seems unlikely to happen.

She would be a MUCH better president for the country than Jack McCain. That is more important than our bruised egos.

7. If it came to Clinton McCain
I mean come on lesser of 2 evils is Clinton.
I wouldn't be happy about it, just like with Kerry WHO LOST, but Id try anyway to avoid McCain in office.

13. Are you SURE about that? Hillary is more bellicose on war and Iran than McCain is...
that is a pretty serious part of being the greater evil for me.

18. Hillary is also pro-big-business.
So far, the only benefit to Hillary is that she is pro-choice.

22. Yes, but Hillary is pro-choice -- my point is that she's better than McCain
You were touting McCain ... I was telling you why he's a worse choice.

I realize Hillary is pro-big-business which is why I support Obama.

11. When all you people DO cast your vote for her....
You will be putting your stamp of approval on her behavior.

You will be rewarding her for this disgusting behavior.

I am a principled person...I won't compromise my principles for that vile lady.

As far as being principled, apparently not if you vote for either of them.

I will take some (very small) solace this November in knowing that folks like this will be getting the Republican government that they and so many others richly deserve.

20. she only wants to count states once she can make a case that she's already won them
or will likely win them

that's not about enfranchising people, that's about using the sacredness of one's vote to prop up your campaign.

she was perfectly willing to ignore those votes when she thought she didn't need them.

does she think we aren't paying attention? :eyes:
