Obama chooses a VP!
Some beauty in challenging times for Obama supporters. This would have to be the sweetest lady you will ever see - I kid you not, if you want the opportunity to whoop and shout and feel some joy again, check out this video from Obama's Q&A in Wilmington today. 82 year old Mrs Weiss kicks ass, and offers us a great reminder of why Obama supporters need to get their backsides into gear and keep soldiering on. CHECK IT OUT:

Its getting a good amount of coverage in the media too:

Obama: Will you be my running mate?
Posted: 05:05 PM ET

WILMINGTON, North Carolina (CNN) – It's official: Barack Obama has offered the vice presidency to an 82-year-old woman.

At a town hall meeting in Wilmington, North Carolina, Monday supporter Jean Weiss stood up to ask a question and began by telling the Illinois senator that he's "captured her heart" with his foreign policy stands.

"When you said 'yes I will sit down with all my enemies, we're gonna sit around the table, we're gonna work this thing out,'" Weiss said, "sir, that was not naiveté—that was wisdom."

She then moved on to a question about water supply. "Before I answer the question," Obama said, "I just want to know–will you be my running mate?"

The crowd erupted in applause, and Weiss ran up to the stage and gave him a hug.

"That’s my running mate there," Obama said as she trotted back to her seat, her arms in the air. "She is 82 years old. She's got some fire!"

Weiss wasn't done, though, until she offered some advice on how to handle his rival Hillary Clinton.

"Don't hit on Hillary," she said. "Bring us all back. Let her do that stuff. Leave her alone, you don't need to do that. You are higher than that. Bring us up higher than that."

4. I can't wait to tell my 90 y.o. mother about this one. She's been a Hillary supporter.
.. the main reason being that is my sister's an activist lesbian & a fierce Hillary supporter,

which can be cool too ... in it's own way ... if it weren't so freaking naive...

but this might really touch my mom... in a great way.

Thanks for posting it.

5. The video is just magic, hey?
How could I not share with my fellow supporters? Such an inspiring woman and the best possible finish to my day. LOVE it when she says "man, I hope you're our president, you GOTTA be our president". Hope your mom likes it and good luck!

8. This is the kind of person a president needs on speed dial.
I suspect she would be, in an Obama government.

In the Mark Penn government, not so much.

10. She was just so crisp and clear in the question that she asked.
She was simply refreshing to see. Spunk in all of its glory. I want to be like her when I grow up! :)

14. Your attempt at humor
is as finely tuned as your candidate's attempt at the nomination. Two losers.
