I am glad I went, but it was a bit bitter-sweet. I fully support Senator Obama, I just had a twinge today. I really wanted it to be John Edwards.

JimGinPA will be along shortly. He had a REAL camera with him with zoom and stuff.

I have no clue how many people were there as I couldn't see to the back of the crowd. I was in the first row. Envy me.

2. Looks like quite a crowd! People getting ready for Change!!

This is why I have hope for PA!!

5. I asked one of the police officers about crowd estimates when I left

he said he hadn't heard any yet.

There had to be about 400 Secret Service people though. They were all over the place like ants in black suits.

People in camouflage were on the roof constantly watching the crowd through binoculars (you can see one of them in one of those pics).

TSA at the entry and they were going through people's wallets (!!) on top of the metal detectors. It was more strict than the airport.

It was insane.

13. People taller than me said it was completely packed going back a block

and it was about a block wide. A big open square.

No clue how to estimate that.

Sniffa's P-38 on his keychain almost didn't make it through...They also looked through the pics on my camera, and at both of our phones. It was nuts. My friend works security at the World Trade Center, where it was held, and he said it was crazy for the week leading up, SS all over the place. We had Obama, Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, and Gov. Patrick. First row as well!

7. I think the whistle-stop-tour

is a brilliant idea. and the size of the crowd has been amazing in the pics I've seen. This Ohioan is really hoping you guys can pull this one out...or at least come really, really close!!!

9. I think is was one of the best ideas we have seen in this campaign.

And it gives great credit to passenger rail. There is NO EXCUSE for us not to have good and cheap passenger rail in this country.

10. My Mom talks

about Eisenhower coming through her hometown on a train when she was young--the only president she'd ever seen. she lived in rural KY, it made a big impression on them. Hopefully this will do the same.

12. Cool! Well the idea has a proven history behind it.

Why it basically fell out of use is beyond me. It gets you to large amounts of small areas quickly and is much better than taking a plane.

I hope he does the same for Indiana and North Carolina.

That slow roll SO reminded me of the photos of old! Elections in the 1800s where trains slow rolled through areas with the Candidate waving to people!

So fun!!
