3.2 million members who will kick their fucking asses if they do. Remember what happened to LIEberman when the base turned against him. HRC's senate seat will now be in play in 2012.

2. not too mention the other grassroots and millions of donors
I think that her trashing of the activist wing of the dems shows her DLC roots and the fact that she is the old skool establishment.

The "change" meme is going to swep her right out of her Senate seat next time as well.

I think this was a much bigger story than all the 'sniper gate' and other bs. this shows that she is not one of "us" and is a DINO

3. Please don't speak for moveon members. We don't know what they wil do.

Now I will say that yes. It is a risk for SDs to go to Clinton at this point. Yet I don't know how big of a risk that is. MoveOn tends to focus against the republicans.

I think it goes without saying that Clinton's senate seat will be in play in 2012. Tho if she rises to senate lead it could be not much of a play.

6. Why do we (and the pundits) keep bouncing the idea
that HRC could be Senate Majority leader? What has she done in the Senate to deserve this? She ran for President and, other than dividing the party, hasn't done a very good job of it. And yet there are a lot of people here that think this should be offered to her as some sort of consolation prize. I'm not one of them. I think Barbara Boxer would be a much better Senate Majority leader than Hillary... and she has a *lot* more legislative experience than Hillary does. When John Kerry didn't win the presidency, did HE get offered the leader's spot as a consolation prize? Why should Hillary get it?

Not dumping on you, it's just that this mention of her assuming that position just irks me for some reason.

8. Chris Dodd for Majority leader
Clinton should be given Liebermans slot after he is officially booted out of the fold-now THAT would be ironic would it not?

7. I am a MoveOn member and Clinton is an idiot for dissing us.
I am not a supporter of hers anyway, but it is unfathomable she would say such a thing about an organization that is ANTI-establishment and has done nothing except work towards exposing the shit in our government (including what was done to Bill Clinton). Did she not think of the repercussions? Apparently not.

11. Well they will support Clinton
if they are into political suicide or clearly clueless. I am sad to say I cannot rule that out yet with the Dems because of their wimpy behavior regarding Bush.

12. which is why we're changing the democratic party
from the DLCers who have proven one thing-that they know how to lose elections...2006 was the changing of the guard-and it'sd growing stronger and stronger about to push out the Clinton, Baye ,Carville wing of the party to the curb-where they belong

13. Let us hope that this is true
It is looking like an Obama win would be a paradigm shift in Washington. Obama's campaign is being largely funded by people versus stinky lobbyists. I think Obama is going to win the nomination but he still going to face tough times ahead because he running against the status quo in DC who do not want things to change and will use ABC like tactics to dirty him up. It is up to us political junkies to keep them in line.

14. exactly right ZinZen
our party is changing, we're sick of losing elections to inferior GOPers with a proven flawed strategy of "you have to win these 5 states to win the election". Dean's 50 state strategy is a winner and the DLC is a bunch of proven losers
