Anyone catch this? Patraeus says withdrawing (1) brigade a month is "do-able"!!! (Obama plan)
 Patreaus said that under the right conditions "it could be done"!!! Lindsey Graham asked him (contemptuosly) whether he agreed that withdrawing (1) brigade a month could be done (without mentioning Obama's name or that this was a Democratic proposal) and he agreed it could be!!!! I hope this moment is seizedupon by our side, I hope this clip is captured and played in the MSM and YouTube.

Patraeus just gave Dem Iraq proposal the green light.

2. “I think we can bring home one to two combat brigades a month,” Hillary Clinton, Dec. '07

“I think we can bring home one to two combat brigades a month,” she said. “I think we can bring nearly everybody home, you know, certainly within a year if we keep at it and do it very steadily.”

Asked in August if troops could be out of Iraq this year, Mrs. Clinton pointed to experts’ estimates that only one to two brigades could be evacuated a month.

Nineteen combat brigades are in Iraq, a Pentagon spokesman said Wednesday.

3. Is that the first time she said that? Because I heard Obama saying that much longer before that.

Pentagon Rebukes Sen. Clinton on Iraq
"WASHINGTON — The Pentagon told Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton that her questions about how the U.S. plans to eventually withdraw from Iraq boosts enemy propaganda."

Obama was saying he'd still have troops in Iraq until 2013 as late as the September debate.

Refuses to Pledge to Get Our Troops Out by 2013, the End Of His First Term
RUSSERT: "Will you pledge that by January 2013, the end of your first term, more than five years from now, there will be no U.S. troops in Iraq?"

OBAMA: "I think it's hard to project four years from now, and I think it would be irresponsible. We don't know what contingency will be out there.

What I can promise is that if there are still troops in Iraq when I take office -- which it appears there may be, unless we can get some of our Republican colleagues to change their mind and cut off funding without a timetable -- if there's no timetable -- then I will drastically reduce our presence there to the mission of protecting our embassy, protecting our civilians, and making sure that we're carrying out counterterrorism activities there. I believe that we should have all our troops out by 2013, but I don't want to make promises, not knowing what the situation's going to be three or four years out."

9. It was funny how political Grahm was getting. He was just using the situation to score points.
Most of his questions were softballs just so the republicans could look like they were on the right side of the issues. I loved when Patraeus said the dems plan might be doable.

McCain used his question to confirm that al-queda is in Iraq currently. Something he'll no doubt be using againt Obama in the near future.
