Is there any legalities preventing Obama announcing his Veep now? And are you allowed to announce your adminstration like secretary of state before the general election?

I think it would be wise for Obama to announce at least a chunk of his nominees for key positions before the general election just to garner greater support. I'd put Sebelius Veep, Richardson Secretary of State, Al Gore Environment minister, John Edwards - Healthcare, etc.

1. I don't think he is allowed to do it...
and even if he were, he would not due it out of respect for Hillary.

2. Of course he's allowed. But it's probably politically stupid to do so. (NT)

5. And this thread has absolutely nothing to do with Clinton
but you gotta throw some hate around anyway. A big steaming pile of unity.

4. Of course
There's nothing stopping him. Its probably not the smartest thing to do politically, but he can name his Veep or cabinet nominees whenever he wants.
