They are beaten and some are embarrassed. When they return with their low post counts, don't press them for their former identities. They will now be Obama supporters because at the end of the day, most are loyal Democrats.

Many have made ridiculous statements in the past and now need to save face by assuming a new identity. We should respect the fact that they want to remain at DU and let the transition occur naturally. I think DU has purged many and the tone has already improved immensely. The ones that return will be a good addition. The ones that never return, didn't add anything positive to the discussion anyway.
