Handy Guide to John McCain's enthusiastic support from John Hagee's endorsement

So you think John McCain is a choice for some Democrats over Barack Obama, who is pretty much is going to win the Democratic nomination. Choosing to continue at least 4 more years of Bush/PNAC policy with the possibility of yet another war and taking away Roe vs. Wade is something to peruse and still call yourself a Democrat?

Let's look at what the Obama campaign can bring up in the foolish possibility that the McCain campaign wants to bring up Jeremiah Wright as an "issue". Will the mainstream media dare cover Hagee's endorsement of McCain? We'll see.

"All I can tell you is that I am very proud to have Pastor John Hagee's support", said John McCain when he got the endorsement of someone who makes Jeremiah Wright look like a bingo club announcer in comparison.

You can watch McCain getting jiggy with Hagee's endorsement:

Here is an interesting assessment about the endorsement of this warmongering theocratic charlatan endorsing a fellow warmongering theocratic charlatan:

John Hagee introduced John McCain himself, proudly saying, “I have had the privilege to meet and talk with Senator McCain on several occasions.” The two men then hugged, in a display of mutual political affection.

McCain, for his part, slathered praise on John Hagee’s organization, saying “God bless you, God bless you for your commitment,” and appreciating the groups vision of the United States as a “Judeo-Christian principled nation”.

As he embraces a political partnership with John Hagee, John McCain embraces Hagee’s outlandish religious political beliefs, which include:

- The idea that the European Union is involved in a conspiracy to place Satan at the head of a united world government
- Plans to create a theocratic regime that rules over the United States
- Use of the U.S. military to conduct religious warfare
- Claims that God himself planned the Nazi holocaust
- Belief in groups of terrorists organized by God and ready to attack the United States if Christian religious law is broken

Try to watch this video where Hagee says Catholicism is a cult: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uViQ0hVV57Q

You might expect Catholics to be a tad pissed at McCain's embrace of someone who clearly has a negative view of the Catholic faith:

“Did we also mischaracterize Hagee when he called my religion ‘The Great Whore,’ the ‘apostate church,’ the ‘anti-Christ’ and a ‘false cult system’? McCain cannot ignore Hagee’s lies any more than he can tolerate his bigotry. This is getting out of control.”

- Catholic League president Bill Donohue

Oddly, the McCain web site brags about getting lots of Catholic support nationwide in a recent press release:

Today over 100 prominent Catholics nationwide have come together to support John McCain for president. The National Catholics for McCain Committee, led by U.S. Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Former Governor Frank Keating (R-OK), is growing rapidly. The group is represented by elected officials, businessmen and women, grassroots organizers, students, and Catholic leaders from over two dozen states.

"John McCain has a common sense vision for America based on faith, freedom, and families," said Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), National Co-Chair of the National Catholics for McCain Committee. "Committed to the protection of innocent human life, he is a leader Catholics will be proud to support. John McCain knows from experience what it means when a society tramples on the truth of the value of the human person. He is committed to defending the dignity and value of every person, regardless of their status."

I wonder if they know about McCain's undying love for Hagee...

To examine a little more about Hagee and his opinions, here are some links and examples concerning this dreadful, hateful human being that McCain thinks is "honorable":

All Muslims are programmed to kill and we can thus never negotiate with any of them.
From an NPR interview Hagee gave to Terry Gross in 2006 (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6097362):

TG: If you use the Bible as the basis for policy, is there any room for compromise? And if you use the bible as the basis for policy, should Muslims use the Koran as the basis for their policy, and then again, what possible basis is there for compromise at that point?

JH: There is really no room for compromise between radical Islam --

TG: I'm not talking about radical Islam. I'm just talking about Islam in general.

JH: Well Islam in general -- those who live by the Koran have a scriptural mandate to kill Christians and Jews.

God caused Hurricane Katrina to wipe out New Orleans because it had a gay pride parade the week before and was filled with sexual sin. From the same interview:

JH: All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they were recipients of the judgment of God for that.

The newspaper carried the story in our local area, that was not carried nationally, that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it would was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other gay pride parades.

So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the Day of Judgment, and I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.

The End Times -- Rapture -- is imminent and the U.S. Government must do what it can to hasten it, which at minimum requires:
(a) a war with Iran and (b) undying, absolute support for a unified Israel, including all Occupied Territories (hence, Joe Lieberman's love affair with them). From Christian Palestinian Daoud Kuttab in The New York Times (h/t PZ Meyers):

A small minority of evangelical Christians have entered the Middle East political arena with some of the most un-Christian statements I have ever heard. . . . Hagee, a popular televangelist who leads the 18,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, ratcheted up his rhetoric this year with the publication of his book, "Jerusalem Countdown," in which he argues that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for Armageddon (which will mean the death of most Jews, in his eyes) and the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West.

More Hagee Greatest Hits of Theocratic Stupidity:

<“The Crusades were a motley mob of thieves, rapists, robbers, and murderers whose sins had been forgiven by the pope in advance of the Crusade.” [Jerusalem Countdown, p. 109>

“When Hitler became a global demonic monster, the Catholic Church and Pope Pius XII never, ever slightly criticized him.”

Speaking of Hitler, Hagee writes that he “simply enforced policies that had been approved by the church over the course of history and that remained the official policy of the church when the Nazi party came to power.”

“Need we be reminded that the loving theology of the New Testament, as translated by the Roman church fathers, is what sponsored the Crusades, the Inquisition, and ultimately produced the Holocaust?”

Hagee on African-Americans
The San Antonio Express-News reported that Hagee was going to "meet with black religious leaders privately at an unspecified future date to discuss comments he made in his newsletter about a 'slave sale,' an East Side minister said Wednesday." The Express-News reported:

"Hagee, pastor of the 16,000-member Cornerstone Church, last week had announced a 'slave sale' to raise funds for high school seniors in his church bulletin, 'The Cluster.'

"The item was introduced with the sentence 'Slavery in America is returning to Cornerstone" and ended with "Make plans to come and go home with a slave."

Hagee on Catholicism
"Most readers will be shocked by the clear record of history linking Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews."

Hagee on Women
"Do you know the difference between a woman with PMS and a snarling Doberman pinscher? The answer is lipstick. Do you know the difference between a terrorist and a woman with PMS? You can negotiate with a terrorist."

"he feminist movement today is throwing off authority in rebellion against God's pattern for the family." <"Bible Positions on Political Issues," John Hagee>

Hagee on LGBT Americans
"The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment."

Hagee on Iran
"The coming nuclear showdown with Iran is a certainty," Hagee wrote in the Pentecostal magazine Charisma. "Israel and America must confront Iran's nuclear ability and willingness to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons. For Israel to wait is to risk committing national suicide."

To get a preview of what John McCain can offer America with his "vision", which appears to jive with Hagee, watch him chortle as he sings "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran":

In case you haven't vomited yet, here what Joe Lieberman has said about John Hagee:

I begin by thanking your founder, Pastor John Hagee. I would describe Pastor Hagee with the words the Torah uses to describe Moses, he is an "Eesh Elo Kim," a man of God because those words fit him; and, like Moses he has become the leader of a mighty multitude in pursuit of and defense of Israel...

2. I'm going to start just focusing on McCain at this point
Unless something absolutely outlandish comes out against Obama from the Clinton camp that I might otherwise return a volley back, I'm sticking to just exposing McCain for the fraud he is.

Game on.

9. Hagee is a vile, filthy man. McCain's association with him gets a pass.
It's enough to make one wonder how stupid people really are.
