I got a feeling Edwards is going to get back in the race
Might just be indigestion? But I don't think so.

It would be the Repigs worst nightmare.

See how polite I was... I'm not going to be coerced or enforced by you any more than I will be by the Obama worshippers.

18. Wishing is good. But remember that fantsay is a huge component of wishing.
Now be a polite little cornermouse and put the tacks away.

11. The one and only way it could happen theoretically is
if the nomination when to a floor fight. I believe on the second ballot, then Edwards could lobby for delegates. That is so far flung at this point though. A bunch of things would have to happen for that to even be a minute possibility.

22. A minute possibility
can be one ray of hope in a completely hopeless situation otherwise. At this moment, I will cling to any ray of hope that the convention might produce a candidate I can vote for in November; a candidate that can unify the party and win the general.

It won't be HRC, and it won't be Obama. That minute possibility allows me to live with a little hope for another few months.

13. After the way Obamites and Clintonistas hurl the "unelectable" epithet back and forth?
No, a candidate who lost so badly to both of them is not going to find a warm welcome--except from us few believers.

27. No, I slept pretty well
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 09:05 AM by olkaz
I mean, as well as I would normally sleep, which isn't great, honestly. I've been trying to use some tips on sleep hygiene to improve my sleep, but I'm still having trouble. I exercise most days, and try to read a book before bed, but I usually end up on the internet until late at night, which makes things worse.

Oh, but John Edwards isn't coming back. It's neat to think about, but it's not going to happen. No matter what.

I don't say that with any glee, mind you, Edwards was my first choice.

28. Problem is the more someone tries to convince me of their motives on an anonymous website...
...the less I believe them. Funny that.

Edwards was my first choice.

Uh, huh. I am sure that is why you decided to insult me publicly in your first reply to this thread.

And when you do that, fellow Democrat, you welcome ridicule.

And your logic is flawless.

19. But aren't some of his pledged delegates now pledged to others?
Iowa for instance... half of the Edwards pledged delegates are now pledged to Obama after last weekends voting.

If he did re-enter, can he re-claim those delegates, or can they just re-commit at will? (lots of "re-s in that sentence, lol!)

Full disclosure: JE was and remains my 1st choice for Prez. ;)

He's mathematically eliminated from getting anywhere close to the nomination.

And there's enough of a mess already.

31. i like edwards, but he was a dismal failure as a candidate, mostly due to the media writing him out
of the narrative...

how the hell do you expect him to wind up the nominee after failing to win a single state?
