| Intellectual caliber/curiosity/decision making style of the candidates (?) |
|
I just read a DUer post that compared the difference between Bush ("Not a reader" "Looks for bumper sticker solutions") and former Pres. Clinton--a voracious reader, information gatherer who liked to gather opinions from far and wide and talk things over at length to understand an issue from all sides.
What do we know about the intellectual styles of Hilary, Obama (and McCain) when it comes to being informed and decision making? Anybody have some background on any of these folks to enlighten us?
All I have heard about Hilary so far from a military insider who knows her is that she is considered a "workhorse" and really puts a lot of time into her projects, but I heard nothing about how she becomes informed, etc.

I don't know the answers, and am getting ready to go out, so I'm kicking this post so others can see it and I can come back and find out, too.
It is very important to find out if these three do their own reading, rely on synopsis provided them by staff, or if they talk to advisers. Each style has a lot of implications as to how things will be run in the WH, and who will be doing the running.
