Obama wrote that he's looked to Wright for spiritual advice, not political guidance....but he writes
"To say that men and women should not inject their "personal morality" into public policy is a practical absurdity; our law is by definition a codification of morality, much of it grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition."

Obama

1. He said "personal morality" , not the morality of a spirital advisor
You are familiar with the meaning of "personal", arent you?

2. Somebody’s lying then
Wright was on Baracks African American searing committee, clearly giving him political advice. Barack even got the catch phrase “audacity of hope” from Wright.

3. It was only a matter of time...
before Obama's affiliation with a black-separatist church hit the MSM.

6. Have you ever been to a Black Church?
Do you have the slightest idea of what you're talking about?

8. Yes, as a matter of fact I have been to a "Black" church...
I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood. The church I attended for much of my childhood and teen years was probably 90% black folks (and the middle school or high school I attended was about 75% black). While there were certainly sermons on discrimination, I don't recall ever hearing the reverend blame white the way Wright is doing. Wright has been known as a black-separatist for many years.

9. I am amazed if that is true...
that you lack the understanding or the meaning of the words as they apply to a Congregation of Black People, who worship together, to heal and deal with living in a white man's world.

4. Rev. Wright is a preacher ...
Preaching tends to be hyperbolic -- that is, it relies on exaggeration. Like when Jesus said, If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It really is possible to know people, to associate with them, ad even to ask for their advice without agreeing with everything they say. One of the criticisms people have of Bush is that people can only tell him what he wants to hear. Sometimes, it is actually good to hear everyone's voice - this doesn't mean you accept everything the person says. I think these posts about Rev. Wright are really out of hand. I think the few minutes of video of Rev. Wright's preaching is irrelevant to the Obama's campaign. I am a white middle aged woman, and I can understand some of his outrage. I watched Obama's response tonight and thought it was classy. It is clear that he has nothing to hide.
