Polls and pretty much everything is meaningless now.

Nobody is paying attention.

1. Very true. Only us adicts are paying this much attention now.
I must say however that I sure have heard a LOT of people chant the ABB for a long time. I think that is going to play a big part in this election.

2. not totally meaningless but shouldn't be taken too seriously
it's good to see polls for trends.but one shouldn't make decisions based on every single change in the polls.

3. I see a lot of people angry at Bush where I'm from and a lot of new
people at the last delegates meeting I attended. not to mention the bigger turnout at the primaries so far. I think there are more people paying attention right now.

I saw one of my kid's former teachers at the last meeting and asked her what brought her there. She just shook her head and said every time I have read the paper since HE has been in office. She wouldn't elaborate.

4. its quite true that fretting over polls at this point is meaningless
what does matter now is that Kerry is failing to cement any sort of impression of himself leaving the field wide open to the GOP to do what they will and they've siezed upon this big time.

You only get one chance to make a first impression.

6. That's usually the case
however, I think it's different this year.

People are paying more attention because Bush is so devisive. The polls show most people have already made up their minds. The undecideds are fewer this year.
