1. That's the only way she could win the GE.
She needs him, he doesn't need her.

3. I second what ingac70 said
Saying this also makes her look like an uniter. She's trying to hide all of the negative crap she's done in the last week.

14. I disagree... it would be the smart thing for her, she doesnt need him, but he wont win on his own.

16. This is huge. It means party leaders are talking about it. This is good for us all.
I felt that the 1st thing that would happen after last night was that Dean and other party leaders would go "oh shit", and start to find a way to get them talking about a joint ticket, and talking to Obama about fairly considering taking the VP slot if her momentum continues to win the big crucial states (because she already acknowledged a willingness)

FL is part of this too. They know FL (and MI) can't be discounted with things this close. I think they may even decide to seat the delegates if FL balks too much at paying for a redo. Either way, I think they know HRC would take FL again.

Bottom line is: Party leaders know what this all means, and that it is dangerous and foolish to write HRC off.

Dem's have supported her, and still do.

She was gracious in not discounting the VP slot herself, but still going for the top.

I'm thrilled he didn't discount it either.

THIS IS GOOD FOR US ALL!

4. another smart move by Hilary that BO and his supporters don't get...
...be the first to mention it...I'm sure she is saying this so that he has to consider her as VP also...if she makes the gesture first, and he doesn't respond, he looks petty, which he is.

5. Well, it is a checkmate position...
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 05:47 PM by HypnoToad
After all, the big roll of tinfoil wrap comes with Obama/Clinton winning such a ticket and he gets assassinated... and if he doesn't say her, it'll drive more to McCain, a candidate she has all but endorsed verbatim...

:tinfoilhat:

10. You know, there's an article on newsweek.com about what she's
said, and one poster said she might be VP so she can have assasinated since she and Bill have killed so many other people already.

7. Refusing the VP slot to a scumabg...
who has made up lies about him isn't petty. It's smart. She would just go out of her way to act like Cheney in the VP slot.

9. I'll make the inexperienced guy my veep?
Nice try, but you can't argue that someone isn't ready and then say they're perfect for the job of being ready if something happens to you. The Republicans would have a field day replaying all her ads, speeches, and debate clips.

This would seem mostly to be a vote getting ploy.

11. Barack should tell her to take that ticket...
...fold it until it's all sharp corners, and shove it somewhere...um...uncomfortable.

Simple fact: He doesn't need her. She needs him.

15. If he loses the GE, he is a career senator. She will come back in 4 and run again.

12. I don't think so
Obama would only hurt the ticket. His inexperience, empty rhetoric and charismatic pop idol platform doesn't jibe with her form of Presidency as "Public Servant"

Hillary should pick Clark as her VP.

13. I could get behind that. So could MOST Dems, I think (and an awful
lot of erstwhile Republicans, too).
