Nothing like the taste of defeat to bring our feet back to earth. Hillary supporters are feeling good tonight. Obama supporters not so good. Hillary has stopped the hemorrhaging after losing about 11 races in a row. Tonight she is back in the game.

Obama is reaping the results of a negative campaign against him. His failure to play the NAFTA card correctly hurt him immensely in Ohio. No one would ever guess that Hillary was married to the guy that signed NAFTA legislation into law. And NAFTA was very important to Ohio voters.

Hillary may end up winning Texas also? At the present time, she is slightly ahead in the votes. Obama may end up with only the Vermont feather in his hat tonight?

Humility is most difficult for those that win. Losers inherit humility. Losers also have a natural inclination to go negative. Fortunately for Obama, he is not in the same precarious position that Hillary was facing just yesterday. He doesn't have to go negative just to survive.

VT was +3 for Obama.

After all the dust settles, this is what is important.

I'm sticking to my prediction of a +10 pickup in delegates for Obama for the day.

Hillary needed a +50 for the day, just to have a shot at tying Obama by the convention.
That's not happening.

5. After watching Chuck Todd on MSNBC... here are the new totals

RI +3 for Hillary
VT +3 for Obama

OH +5 to +9 for Hillary
TX +10 to +12 for Obama (even if he loses the primary!) :wow:

But we won't know for sure for at least several DAYS.

Best case for Hillary -1 for the day.
Best case for Obama +7 for the day.

Obama WON the March 4 vote. Period.

Because it's not about state wide votes, it's all about delegates.

Just like he WON Nevada (as confirmed by Mr. Todd tonight).

The spin will be that Hillary won Ohio and RI, Obama won VT, and they "tied" TX... but that's just spin... Obama won the delegate race and will EXTEND his lead.

With dignity and class - Senate Majority Leader could be hers.
If she stays in against all odds attacking another Democrat she will never be Majority Leader.
Cold hard stats and facts will stare them in the face tomorrow morning.

Obama's campaign learned from their narrow defeats in New Hampshire and Nevada. They'll learn from this too.
