4. He's awesome!
Kerry hardly needs to campaign. * is in total damage control mode. All Kerry has to do is ask jr. to come clean! Bring It On!!

6. Russert just said, " But Saddam is gone, that is a good thing."
Clarke said "Saddam is gone, that is a good thing, and if Fidel were gone, that would be a good thing, if Kim L Sung were gone that would be a good thing etc ". That is the answer I have been waiting for someone to give for ages.

7. It's such a nobrainer. The emperor is naked as a jay bird.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious Clarke. I hope others will follow your lead. :kick:

8. clarke was effective for his positions. bush's thank you note...priceless
jesus, clarke showing that makes bush look either like a complete idiot or one who is using the same type of positive civility that clarke used in his own letter of resignation.

no one or thing touched clarke. he responded exceptionally well and honestly.

9. Clarke handed bush his walking papers...
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 11:06 AM by rasputin1952
and he :spank: Russert as well! "Don't put words in my mouth".

MSNBC saying that Clarkes allegations having little effect in bush's ratings. 65% say no effect on how they feel about bush.....maybe they shouldn't poll the RNC?

:)

10. Or maybe they polled some Dems, who already knew what scum * is.
I can honestly say Clarke's testimony did not change my opinion of *. Hated him before, hate him now.

14. That is apparently what the data actually say. On NPR yesterday
they said exactly that--it simply confirms the negative opinions that those who held them had. I do wish it would win over the "swing" votes but this story isn't finished yet.

16. Actually, that number sounds about right
A certain percentage hate him and a certain will follow him to hell. 35% of the middle is HUGE! You know the majority of those will not have been influenced in a positive way towards the boy king.

13. Sorry I missed this. Timmy isn't used to interviewing people who
don't have to care whether he likes them and will invite them on again.

17. The thing about that poll
is that for those who already had the lowest possible opinion about Bush, his testimony has not made them feel worse about him. And that is a lot of people.

22. Amazing
Clarke did an amazing job in the interview, I was intrigued near the end when Russert asked him who he was going to vote for and Clarke firmly but respectfully declined to answer (though in context there was little doubt). Clarke also stated (when prompted by Tim) that he wouldn't campaign for Kerry or seek elected office of his own, I have to say that after the events of the last week I kinda like the sound of a Kerry/Clarke ticket.

23. "O'Reilly Factor" Next?
Granted, O'Reilly is boorish and generally a bully, but Clarke's responses to Russert show that he's able to answer whatever is thrown at him. To further the debate on whether the invasion of Iraq has been detrimental to the War on Terrorism, I believe that it would be helpful to have the issue considered by right-wing commentators. I recently saw the episode where Hans Blix stood up to O'Reilly. (When accused of delving into semantics, Blix chastised O'Reilly. Blix said that he wanted to be precise, while O'Reilly wanted to be imprecise.) Blix's appearance was an alternative to the echo chamber. I bet that O'Reilly would love to have Richard Clarke on his show. Although O'Reilly would be the jerk he is, Clarke could hold his own and possibly alter the opinions of a few swing voters.

He's letting Clarke talk. Last week he spent the time with Ted Kennedy just arguing with him.
