RAS Poll: Obama up by four in TX but down by three in BELO TX poll
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 12:13 PM by book_worm
Texas Obama leads HRC 48-44. Obama leads with men by 16-points and trails among women by 9. The Latino vote favors Clinton by 9, but that is substantially lower than it used to be.

www.rasmussenreports.com

In the Public Strategies/BELO TX Tracking Poll, Clinton is up 46-43. Clinton leads among Dems in TX by 52-36, but Obama leads among independents by 54-38.

Where RAS has Hillary leading Latinos by nine, this poll has her up by 33-points among latinos.

Among those who say they have already voted the race is 50-50

And looking ahead Ras has Obama only down by four in PA--46-42

6. Mondays? You wait 24 hours and you get the actual vote.
I bet the polls that come out on Monday at 9:00 p.m. will be really interesting.

7. The second poll is completely wrong.. they overstate white support and understate black and Latinos
They have

White: 62
Black: 14
Hispanic: 19

Al the other polls are showing something like this

White: 52
Black: 22
Latino: 25

14. Two days ago they started releasing tracking poll data
Yesterday the second day's worth of data came out showing it Clinton 46(+0), Obama 45(+2). Based on the results of the most recent data, I see him taking the lead in today's results.

if this question seems ignorant, but from what I've seen, the polls really don't mean much. They are fairly inaccurate since super Tuesday. They also show such a big difference in numbers that I wonder if they even matter. Don't get me wrong, I guess they're interesting just not too telling.

Oh, the question? Have any polls, that you all know about, been accurate since Super Tuesday?

12. somebody posted a report card on pollsters above, but polls are just that
snapshots in time. The real poll that counts is Tuesday.

That's true. Obama did way better than the polls said everywhere.

15. Does anybody know where the candidates will be this weekend?
it will say a lot about how they view the race. For instance, if HRC spends most of her time in Ohio and Obama most of his in TX that may mean they see those states as their best chances.
