My wife and I (each) just contributed to Hillary's campaign.
This is a repeat performance for my wife, a first for me. Because, as she said to me, "We have GOT to do something!"

I hope every little bit helps, Sen. Clinton.

25. I donated to Obama, but I will promise you one thing...
...I have $250.00 saved up for the GE. In addition to my vote, HRC will get the money as well if she somehow gets the nomination. Unlike many on this forum, by eyes are squarely on the prize.

28. That's one of the many reasons why if he's our nominee
I'm NOT voting in November. The party wants a slick operator as their candidate, fine, then let them get him elected without my help and that of countless others who I have heard say that McCain is not looking so bad after all.

I would never vote for a Republican, but I'm no lemming who is dutifully going to vote for whoever the party nominates. For the first time in my adult life I have chosen to stay home this election. My vote is too precious to give to someone who I do not think is ready to be president.

For the first time in twenty eight years of voting I will not be voting for the Democratic candidate at any level...I will leave that part of the ballot blank... I will vote against the anti-gay marriage amendment on the Florida ballot... Ironically, the many people Obama brought out with his McClurkin gambit will make it more likely it will pass...

66. Because they represent THIS demographic--this was posted elsewhere on the board,
but it EXPLAINS EVERYTHING:

http://www.blackagendareport.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=537&Itemid=1

....The no-nonsense white men that rule society and cling to ownership of the world were harder nuts to crack; you've got to sign a prenuptial to get skin-tight with them. No problem. Before Obama even began to strut on the national runway, he'd won the approval of the Wall Street and military/industrial (and nuclear power) branches of the Money Family. Run-of-the-mill citizens will be barred from state court relief, so as not to jam up big corporations with their silly lawsuits. Energy companies can count on their usual subsidies. The "sanctity of contracts" will not be violated to save homeowners from foreclosure, no matter how deep the credit crisis becomes. The voracious military will be fed an additional 92,000 soldiers and Marines, regardless of what happens in Iraq, to be available for more wars. Most importantly - and this is the really smooth part of Obama's game - the ever-increasing military budget will make moot all of Barack's and Hillary's (near identical) promises about health care, affordable housing, the whole public agenda that has been dangled in front of those fans and groupies in the cheap seats.

Once he gets in office, many of the swooners will find out that he's already married to the Power Mob.

But that's OK. Obama knows his most enthusiastic supporters - the ones that claim him as their own as a matter of blood - will stick by him without complaint. Hell, their "leaders" show every sign of allowing him to wine and dine and make promises to everybody else BUT them, at least until he is comfortably in office - maybe for the entirety of his first term. For the time being, though, Black folks aren't even hearing what he's saying to the white men or anybody else - they're just enjoying the music: "It's been a long, a long time coming, but I know, a change gonna come."

    Oh no it ain't.

103. This Joe Lieberman
"I know that some in the party have differences with Joe," Senator Obama said, all but silencing the crowd. "I'm going to go ahead and say it. It's the elephant in the room. And Joe and I don't agree on everything. But what I know is, Joe Lieberman's a man with a good heart, with a keen intellect, who cares about the working families of America."

Then, with applause beginning to build, he finished the thought: "I am absolutely certain that Connecticut's going to have the good sense to send Joe Lieberman back to the United States Senate." That time, people cheered loudly.

34. Keep the heat on Obama, and stay in the race!!!
Hillary is doing a good thing by keeping up the pressure on Obama and staying in the race as a credible alternative.

Crazy things have happened in politics before, and I'm sorry to say it, but right now Obama is a cult of personality with great speeches at this point. He hasn't really been tested/vetted either. Jack Ryan dropped out of the race, and Obama may not undergo real media scrutiny until it's too late (i.e., he has the nomination). If his candidacy is going to collapse because of bombshell revelations (Rezko, youtube accuser, drugs, or something else), better to have it happen now than later.

For the good of all concerned, Hillary should stay in the race.

80. Might as well give your money directly to GE medical and Humana,
thats where it is going any way. She accepts lobbyists money, are you that naive to support her?

102. Obama is the only candidate that accepts no money from special interests or lobbyists.
That is simply why I support him, follow the money trail and you will find the truth.
Obama has openly published his tax returns, Hillary has not.

The reason why Obama will win this is simple, he is honest and people can see it.
Clinton on the other hand uses Bush style politics.

Clinton has voted for the patriot act, and for the war.

When she was trying to reform healthcare in the 90’s, she suddenly stopped.
Why did she stop? Because her owners (the corporations and lobbyists) paid her too; is this the type of experience you want? Are these the solutions we need?

This is no time to take a chance on Hillary, we need some one who is tested and proven to lead and do the right thing on day one. And that is Barack Obama.
