Ouch. Obama needs to speak out directly against this new accusation from the Republicans, as it could become a big issue, especially in the GE.

7. The first time I could vote...
...it was a choice between George HW Bush and Bill Clinton. It's been a long road, but I agree with Michelle, because for the first time in MY adult life, I too am VERY proud to be an American. There have been other times where I have been proud, but this has the potential to be transformative. So McCain can fucking stuff it.

Was McCain proud to sanction torture? Was he proud to sanction the same methods of torture that the US EXECUTED Japanese soldiers for using? Was he proud to trample the Constitution to give the Boy King George warrantless wiretapping privs, and hand immunity to lawbreakers?

McCain left his principles in a cage in the jungle apparently. What's left now is a bitter Bush-syncophant and dried up fearful husk of a man.

9. Does McCain REALLY want a fight about whose wife is more embarrassing?
Michelle Obama is a Harvard educated lawyer who screwed up a line in a stump speech. Cindy McCain is a drug-stealing, adulterous beer heiress.

10. Oh he is clueless
Our recent history has not exactly been prideful.

If I was an African American I would truly feel encouraged by the resurgence of hope.

As a 13th generational American on my mum's side, I salute her totally.

The reemergence of overt bigotry has been really disturbing of late. I thought we were long over that.

Good for her.

That was a truly heartfelt statement from a woman who has really done the right thing with her life against all odds and should not be misconstrued in any way shape or form.

12. no she does not and neither does he...it will make the story get legs
this was a bumbling of words...not a sentiment of hate for America. they cannot be baited into responding to every ridiculous faux outrage of the rethugs.
