Why is Andrea Mitchell the only one pointing out the lies in the Bush ads?
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 10:57 AM by PA-DEM
Last night on Hardball she at least 4 times said that the Bush ads are not truthful, but the others on the panel just ignored her. The Kerry campaign and the media should be pointing this out.

11. tweety is an ass
Kerry did not vote against any of those things the ad said, he voted against the whole thing because of funding it without taking it out of the tax cuts. It was Bush who wanted to cut pay for the military.

Here's a snippet from an article which appeared on August 15th, 2003 in the San Francisco Chronicle which gives a brief glimpse of their ignominious retreat ...

The White House quickly backpedaled Thursday on Pentagon plans to cut the combat pay of the 157,000 U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan after disclosure of the idea quickly became a political embarrassment.
The Pentagon's support for the idea of rolling back "imminent danger pay" by $75 a month and "family separation allowances" for the American forces by $150 a month collapsed after a story in The Chronicle Thursday generated intense criticism from military families, veterans groups and Democratic candidates seeking to unseat President Bush in 2004.

4. Andrea on Imus
said it's obvious the world would rather have John Kerry than bush.....it's a no-brainer. (paraphrased)

She seemed genuinely perplexed that people are even questioning it.

6. It's like what Holbrooke said to Wolfie yesterday
Said that you can ask any foreign reporter and they will tell you the same thing. Andrea does go overseas so she would know.

9. this morning on nbc
they had an interview with madeline albright which they immediately had to counter with an appearance by chris matthews who got in the last word saying that kerry is a liar and the latest bush ads are 100% accurate, they have him dead to rights with his no vote to provide body armor for the troops. the corrupt media is doing it again. they are framing the debate to fool the masses. who think after all, it must be true - it was heard on "the news."
