NPR this morning, interviews re: Obama

Anyone hear the interview with people curling? (I assume in WI, though I missed the beginning)-

A middle aged / older man said that he liked Obama's platform of change and said (to the best of my memory): 'well, I think I yam gonna vote for Obamer, cause when I listen to him talk, I get tingles down my spine.'

All the interviews I heard in those several minutes had people who would ordinarily vote Republican, or at least establishment Dem candidates, but were ready for something different in government, and planned to vote Obama.

And, I would guess, not a latte' or Lexus in sight! (though perhaps some cheese curds?)

1. National Propaganda Radio
If NPR is pushing Obama, you know he's up to no good.

2. I feel sorry for you, living in a world of propaganda...

NPR is about as good as it gets for national media.. They talk with plenty of people about Clinton too, don't worry-

3. Bullshit, NPR is literally run by Radio America CIA propagandists
If NPR is pushing something, I'm skeptical. Probably want Obama in there for war in Africa.

13. NPR, when you're watching, AUTOMATICALLY bugs your home,
They have super conversation seeking microphones and videos and are actually watching you and recording you when the tv is on in your house. They can transport tiny, tiny, alien spies that WILL get into your head via the ear drum passage and set up transmitting station in your brain that will transmit your thoughts to the CIA even before you have them. EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS.

27. National Petroluem Radio has a lust for oil like Cortez had for gold
You must not really be an actual listener to America's answer to Pravda brought to you by oil companies, Archer Daniels Midland, Wal Mart, your local Lexus dealers, ad nauseum.

11. You should look for a podcast-

they also had (in another story) a couple on who had been together since they were teenagers-
they asked her what she loved about him, and she said:

'well, I probably shouldn't say this, because I always tell him he is not funny, but he makes me laugh'

that one made me laugh, sounded just like my wife!

16. And yesterday on NPR in WI...
They did similar interviews with a different group of folks.

-One guy was for Clinton, because things were good when Bill was in office.

-Another retired truck driver said he "might even vote for the black boy. He seems to have it up here."

-Another woman would not vote for Clinton because she thought Bill would be really running the show.

-Another woman said "I'm leaning towards that Obama fellow, or whatever his name is."

-Another person was voting for Clinton because he didn't know much about Obama (this is the true meaning of 'name recognition).

The amazing thing is these were all people who normally vote republican. It's also interesting to see how 'impressionistic' their voting preferences are.

That's why I think that while folks like us may argue over policy issues and the nuances of electability, that kind of thing means squat to the average voter. They go with their gut.

18. I heard that "might even vote for the black boy" last night!!!
I was going to start a thread when I got home if I hadn't been so busy last evening!

The general premise of the OP would have been that I was doubting the "my racist ________ says they're voting for Obama", but now I'm starting to believe that the feelings are genuine...

I was going to put up a post about it too, it was so stunning. But I was too busy too.

I think there is indeed a geniune interest among some of these folks to vote Obama.
