Scandal Overload!
Plame Outing
Medicare cost coverup
SOTU lies
cheney task force (how many evil secrets are hidden there?)
halliburton corruption
harken and bush insider trading
deficits (tax cuts not working)
loss of jobs
bush's stellar military record
tom delay's soon to be extreme pain in texas campaign funding scandal
9/11 commission
Misleading (Lying) campaign ads
Pissed off Veterans (don't discount this massive bomb)

and the list goes on and on and on. Hopefully this is not as (to para quote) Stalin put it - One scandal is a tragedy, hundreds are a statistic. One could argue this is the gop modus operandi. Let us ensure it does not succeed.

1. You left out Enron

As a Californian, that's one that I don't want to forget.

Also, in addition to the Plame outing and Halliburton corruption, there is the cooking of intelligence leading up to the Iraq War. If lying to manipulate public opinion concerning a war isn't a betrayal of trust in a nominally democratic system, then what is?

Speaking of betrayals of democracy, let's not forget the Bush administration scandals prior to taking office: the illegal scrubbing of tens of thousands of Florida voters and the manipulation of the political process to assure that votes would not be counted.

5. It's amazing that the list is SO long, it becomes impossible to remember
them all. No one person can really keep track of it. That Stalin paraphrase is very appropriate!

6. Here's the good news
There are so many scandals that any one of them could topple the house of cards. Let us hope one will.

7. Tom DeLay and Homeland Security (abuse) during Tx redistricting
drama.

Medicare vote improprieties - including alleged attempt to bribe a congressman.

EPA lies about air safety in the aftermath of 9/11

"Bush Knew" - FBI and CIA briefings in August that were ignored; and despite these warnings CHeney (the head of anti-terrorism efforts for the WH) never had a single anti-terrorism task force meeting before Sept 11; even though a) Ashcroft warned to stop flying commercial flights; and b) plans to invade Afghanistan were on Bush's desk one or two days before 9-11 (documented by Newsweek.)

Attempts to prevent corporate reforms law; then weakening their impact by stacking the review panel; and the public criticism by Paul Volker when he resigned from heading up the panel to reform accounting principles/practices.

Bush claim that Ken Lay was an Anne Richards supporter.

9. I Always Like To Throw Cocaine Charges Out There, Too
And don't forget that Homeland Security $$$ went disproportionately to red states.

How about the fact that Bush let several big campaign donors use the Lincoln Bedroom?

How about Bush's scripted press conference right before the war?

Or the many, many knucleheaded things Cheney said before the build up to the war about Iraq's capabilities? Even the other chickenhawks were shaking their heads.
