Could We Please Get a do-over on "Yes We Can"?
For anyone with kids of a certain age,"Yes We Can" can only mean one thing: The Bob the Builder Show. Which, as good as it may be doesn't deserve to be elevated to a campaign theme.

For me, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Just imagine if Hillary had chosen part of the Barney theme as a campaign slogan instead and you would get the idea.

I beg, plead, whatever I need to do but please get the Obama creative people onto something new. I also think, because of the reference, it takes away important parts of Obama's message.

Please, I don't want to hit the mute button. I want to hear what Obama has to say. But I swear, I'll do it! I will!

Screw the slogans, I'd like to hear some SUBSTANCE.

Hope doesn't heat the house. CHANGE doesn't pay the grocery bills...

Right. Brilliant. Don't ever advise a campaign, political or otherwise. :)

It's the UFW slogan.

and "I Got it from my Momma"

As much as I like infectious pop music (and yes even Black Eyed Peas) I can't roll with the sentiment as what comes to mind is Prozac-swilling, glassy-eyed, animated construction equipment.

Please understand :sarcasm: is intended here...

Maybe it is just me, but I run screaming from the room when I hear it!

It seriously should come with a warning like the one they use on the cable news channels for flash photography:

'story contains repetitive rhetorical elements that may bring to mind irritating, simplistic cartoon characters.'

I have talked to other people who were annoyed by the repetition if not the cartoon aspect.

show some pride, belief in their ability to affect the course of our country. Yeah that's such a terrible thing.

The people I talk to are annoyed by the constant doom and glooming and cynicism any time anybody gets the slightest inclincation to feel good about themselves or their country.
