and Paul is doing well in WA GOP caucus too--27-26-25, McCain/Huck/Paul split, thus far. KS already went to Huck and LA is too close to call between Huck and McCain.

4. Hmm, I wonder how many states McCain can lose ...
...and still have the nomination "sewn up."

9. The day that Mittens quit and the big meme was "McCain has nomination"
I thought to myself, "No, no he doesn't. Not yet. Huckleberry may take this yet."

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. But the big question in my mind still has to be... Why the hell is McCain even...
in this race at this time? He was written off months ago, and is now the front runner. Where has he gotten the bank roll to stay in this thing? Inquiring minds would like to know!

Don't forget
It was the MEDIA that wrote him off, last year before a single vote was cast. I personally don't give a rip about the Republican race-they can choose who they want. But I do care about democracy and about letting the voters decide things rather than the media-generated polls, so I'm glad to see him coming back against the media's attempt to dismiss him.

I think it's just this:
All of the Republican candidates sucked ass; even the Republicans themselves figured this out before long. Tancredo, Hunter and Grandpa Fred sucked so bad that they disappeared without a trace and hardly anyone even noticed. McCain has probably survived so far due to his name recognition and the fact that the media have always liked him, and maybe because he's ever so slightly less insane than Giuliani and Romney (which isn't saying much).

16. Hunter and Tancredo were always fringe
The big story IMHO is the complete collapse of Thompson and Giuliani. That, I think, is the only reason that McCain is still in it.

18. Now who would possibly support a war-monger with $$$ ????
Which of the republicans do ya suppose the Military Industrial Complex would prefer? That in and of itself makes me go hmmmmm but then I ask myself, if those guys are smart enough to see that bush has poisoned the well when it comes to republicans shouldn't they be hedging their bets with a Democrat? Who would they support among the Democrats.... things that makes me go hmmmm. Ya know, I'd be betting that if the Military Industrial Complex could get it's way, it would prefer to have both nominees in it's pocket...they surely have the duckets to make that so. ( :tinfoilhat: ) Is it any wonder why We The People want REAL CHANGE!!!!

7. Do you know if that includes King County?
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 09:51 PM by DinoBoy
I have a feeling that King (well Seattle anyway) will go heavily for Paul. This may turn into a MAJOR upset if Huckleberry of especially if Paul wins.
