3. OMG, Obama is going down! Only 10,000! He is used to 20,000, that's a 50% drop.
With Chelsea, Hillary can cover 3x the area Obama can.

What was Hillary's turn out last time SHE was in Omaha?

11. About 200...
I think Warren Buffet threw a $2300 a plate dinner for her last fall.

Ahh.. but she didn't campaign with any "real" voters who can't afford that kind of cash. And, she won't be here this week before the caucuses.

7. Well, since our arena only seats 9,000 technically....
10,000 was already over the limit with people standing in stairwells to see him speak.

I don't think the firemarshall was going to allow one more person in there. But, I do see your point, and we will make sure to build a larger arena for the next time the senator shows up!!

5. Yeah, 'he only does well in cities with large black populations' not so believable... LOL
That ol theory just keeps bumping into adoring masses all over (what in our household is fondly called) White Bread-land.

Havocdad and I have been pleasantly amazed at turnouts for Obama near where we live. We just didn't think the cultural norm had evolved so well. It makes us have some hope for America that areas so recently un-enamored of diversity are looking at Obama and seeing a man with a dream and a vision instead of a Black Man with a dream and a vision.

It would seem that people across most demographic lines hunger for the oft maligned message of hope. That is sure better than the politics of fear.

13. Eh.. it's fine.. he can take 'em!
No one was impressed that they sent their daughter in to do their campaign work for them. Obama showed up yesterday to a crowd of 10,000. Today Michelle is in Lincoln to talk to the UNL college kids (to those who didn't make the hour long drive to Omaha to see him yesterday).

Hillary & Bill skip the state entirely and send their daughter in their place? That sort of feels like a snub to many here.. and it will be correctly reflected tomorrow in the caucuses.

21. Do you know how many showed up for Chelsea?
The main thing I see is that the combined power of the Clinton family can cover 3 places, with 2 big draws (Hillary and Bill), while Obama can only be in one place at a time.

Why hasn't Chelsea enlisted in the armed services to show her support for her Mom's war?

I met her back when I was a page in DC (fortunately it was the year before Mark Foley was elected...). Really nice, and smart. And I was cheering for her when she took Hillary to task for her "kids think work is a four letter word" gaffe.

23. No kidding
Bill's toxic, having fucked around on Hillary XXX times.

Hillary's a cold, shrill, calculating person, and that kind of shit doesn't play well in the midwest.

Now how did a "cold, shrill, calculating person" produce such a fine character as seen in Chelsea?

Sorry to present you with your cognitive dissonance of the day.

27. Just because Chelsea is intelligent and landed a 6 figure salary doesn't grant her INTEGRITY.
IMO, if she had any integrity, she'd stay away from both of her morally bankrupt parents.

Neither you NOR I know Chelsea's true person - so dispense with this "she's off limits" OR "she's golden" B.S. because she's now in the full mix of The Clintonian drive for a 3rd DLC staffed Executive Branch.

BTW, Princess "Super Geek" Chelsea needs to go back to her SIX FIGURE Hedge Fund Salary because she's not "off limits" to critism any longer (27 y.o.).

No more CLINTONS or BUSHES in ***OUR*** White House. :patriot:

36. 10,000 people in an arena that only seats 9,000..
people crowded into stairwells, standing room only on the floor (they didn't even put chairs out). Doors opened at 3:30, and people started to line up 25 degree weather at 11:00am.
