What a surprise. The corporate media sees a large number of people become politically active,
so they must be a brainwashed cult. Everybody knows politics sucks, you should just stay home and watch American Idol or go shopping. The only reason anyone would actually participate is if they've somehow been brainwashed.

Young people interested in politics? The horror! Everyone knows those ignorant slackers can't think for themselves.

Show up to vote every few years and we'll call it democracy.

1. That "cult" thing has really upset Obama supporters
If you don't want to be called a cult, don't encourage your people to keep posting their conversion stories. That's where it started.

The rallies with thousands of people chanting in unison is also a bad move PR-wise.
