Long-time Edwards supporter here. But I have decided that my vote
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 03:52 AM by SeattleGirl
will go with whomever is chosen as the Dem nominee, no matter how I feel about them. None of them are bad; some are (IMHO) better that others.

But,

while I may prefer one candidate over the others, my biggest preference is that the person with the (D) after their name gets into the White House on 1/20/09.

That's what I want, most of all.

2. Sorry, I'm not saying at this time.
Except that my preferred candidate has the initials JRE.

3. I favored John too
And was hoping to vote for him the Alabama primary. I voted for Obama in the Alabama primary Tuesday, but will vote, early and often, for the nominee in November, regardless. :hi:

I also prefer JRE over the other two, and I'm having a difficult time with this election cycle. I vote on March 4th in Texas.

I thought coming to DU would help me decided, but alas neither one of the other two candidates has given me any reason to throw my support to their candidate.

What ever happened to political discourse?.?.?

There are sooooooo many disruptors from both sides that don't offer me any indications why they support X/Y. Not that I rely on them informing me, I can do that on my own. However, sometimes I find additional info from how passionate a supporter is for their candidate and why they are voting for them. Instead we get tit for tat nonsense, that doesn't make their candidates very favorable to me.

I also am having a hard time with ALL the attacks on our candidates. This only causes division within our party. I've never witnessed our fellow democrats attacking people for endorsing another candidate. I myself may have felt disappointed after someone endorsed a candidate that wasn't my candidate, but I would never ever attack that person. Different Strokes For Different Folks, I guess:shrug:

With John we knew why we were supporting him. Good Luck with your decision SeattleGirl, I know it will be a difficult one.:hi:

I can understand why you don't want to post here who might get your vote:hide:

I too will support whoever wins the nomination.

Edit: added a sentence

9. I would have liked Edwards
I actually wanted Kucinich but he dropped out long ago. Then I wanted Edwards but he dropped out too. So now I voted for Hillary.

10. I'll vote for whoever gets the nomination.
I'd be a fool not to.

But I voted for Edwards at my caucus on Tuesday. Two reasons. I want him to get more delegates if he can; and god damn it, I want one chance to vote for the person I think would be the best President.

So the eventual Democratic nominee will get my vote. But will they get my efforts, my enthusiasm, my heart? Time will tell. It doesn't look good right now.
