What states CAN Nader get on the ballot in?
If Ralph cannot get on the ballot, all of these Bush/Kerry/Nader polls are bullshit.

Nader voters are either going to vote for Kerry or sit it out, and faced with Bush it is inconcieveable to imagine they would sit it out.

Nader is a distraction and should be ignored.

If the press can marginalise someone like Dennis Kuchinich, with a long history of positive and progressive struggles, why are they paying any attention to an independent running without money, backing or any possibility of success?

Someone suggested that the GOP might underwrite Nader's campaign. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

3. What states can he win?
The greens could not even win the mayorship in San Francisco, the most Liberal city in the US- how do they expect to win any states?

I guess their main job is to join the GOP & media in tearing down the Democrats.

Sighhh, a 3 to 1 fight against DEMS, but we will manage somehow...

11. No the Greens did it there
and I think once you get on you stay on. So some time in the presumedly fairly distant past the Green Party got those signatures.

7. I think you can write off getting on the NY ballot as well.
It would be easier to get on the ballot in the Byzantine Empire than break into NYS. Unless there are thousands of rabid Nader supporters hiding out somewhere that nobody can identify, he hasn't a hope of a chance of doing it.

8. The press didn't marginalize Kucinich
Edited on Sun Mar-07-04 10:31 PM by Gman
Kucinich marginalized Kucinich. You gotta admit, right, wrong or indifferent, he's marginal in the grand scheme of things as they currently exist.

I would also like to ignore Nader as irrelevant. But, there's an old political adage that says if you're opponent is breathing, they're a threat (unless you're John Ashcroft then if they're not breathing, they're still a threat).

If Nader is on a ballot in any state, he's a threat as much as Bush is a a threat. Both Nader and Bush are the enemy.

12. You say that like being a socialist is a bad thing
which it isn't. Its just that socialism is marginal in this country at this particular time in history. So Larry King didn't marginalize Kucinich. Kucinich marginalized Kucinich.
