If You Want To Know Why Hillary Supported The War In Iraq
you need look no further than her supporters here on DU.

You're the reason she voted for the war. If she didn't think you'd still be in her corner after that vote, she never would have supported it.

She knew that voting for it would keep her from looking weak in a general election run, but by the same token, she knew that she could still afford to vote for it and her base would still be behind her.

Because she takes you for granted.

She knows there are supporters of hers who would walk through fire for her, who would be with her to the bitter end.

So what's one vote on the war. Or two. Or 10.

She'll still have you in the morning. And if she gets a little misty-eyed, she can have you make breakfast for her too.

he doesn't have the power to bring the troops home, so the least he could do is make sure they have proper equipment so they don't get killed while they are there.

but, yeah, thanks for addressing the issue. want to discuss hillary at all?

4. Same reason hillary does
Cause now we are in this fucked up mess we cant get out by shorting the troops. We need a planed withdrawal not a forced withdrawal. Its important to protect our kids on their way out and the whole time they are in there as best as we can.

5. This disingenuous bullshit AGAIN?
The responsibility for the Iraq war lies solely and unequivocally on the White House that lied and misled Congress in the run-up to the authorization act.

The O-Bots have tried this tactic again and again and again, like a thousands monkeys flinging their shit against the wall. But just like the monkeys, they are getting increasingly shrill and frustrated as they see that their shit just doesn't stick, and all they have left to show for it are 10 stinky fingers.

8. she can't defend her vote, neither can her supporters
it's not a question of the war being her responsiblity. But her VOTE is her responsibility.

11. The Rat ducks and weaves yet again
Read slowly, maybe it'll penetrate the fog.

Congress was lied to by the Bush administration. If you are expecting/demanding/hoping/wishing some bit of "I regret my vote" pandering to appease the fringe netroots, then both I and Hillary (tho she says it nicer than I am about to) will cheerfully tell you to go fuck yourself.

It is not coming, nor is it deserved or warranted. Bush lied, they supported on the basis of that lie. It is over. Clinton is looking forward at how to bring this sorry mess of an occupation to and end, while Obama and his kool-aid sippers wallow in the past and bleat on and on about 5-year-old votes.

Keep your head in the sand, or up each others asses, or wherever you like. When you decide to catch up with the rest of us in looking forward, then by all means do so. Hit the light on your way out.

2002. What a tricky title!! No way Hillary could have known what that was about. She wuz tricked. Should have been titled. Resolution to kill 1 million Iraqis, 30,000 U.S. soldiers, & bankrupt the nation Resolution of 2002. Then she would have known.

21. Another lying little Obamabot? Not surprising
The resolution instructed the President to pursue such action within the confines of the United Nations. He chose to violate that, not Clinton.

9. Is this the best you can come up with? "Well, I think would've been bad too nah nah"
Get over it. He made a speech opposing it. She was for the war. She voted for it. She opposed the Levin amendment which would have saved us going into Iran.

She is for the war. Stop trying to drag Barack into the mud where your candidate is.

24. It was the NIE she didn't read.
The national intelligence briefing that convinced Bob Graham the WMD story was a sham. Hillary couldn't be bothered to read it, yet she insists she did her "due diligence."

Read the above responses (the ones that don't originate from Obama kool-aid sippers), maybe they will clue you in a bit.

Maybe.

as she's in office. Can't look weak, ya know.

Hillary is the war-making wing of the Democratic party.
