Barack Obama has nice voice
i think he should do a lot of radio ads. he also looks Presidential. in the Kennedy Nixon debates people said Kennedy won on tv and Nixon on radio. but Obama does best on both. we have seen images of Obama at the rallies. we need to show more of him on the airplane, in an office. as if he was already President.

just compare McCain saying "my friends" to Obama saying "yes we can".

4. Come on, that is not what this poster meant and you know it!
This poster simply meant his voice adds to his already known knowledge. His voice does make a difference and he speaks well. Look at the way Bush speaks and his crappy voice. It would be nice to have a President that could speak well and not embarrass us!

5. This planet.
People do base their votes on such things.

Anyway, the OP was just making an observation. Why jump all over her?

8. Good point.
We discuss the physical attributes of politicians all the time on DU. The president's smirk, for example, is something many DUers have noted is not attractive. Scientific H2O Man studies have shown that democrats tend to be far more likely to be considered pleasant to the eye, from the grass roots up.

Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are attractive people. John McCain and Willard Romney are both repulsive. It will be a factor in November.

3. Oh, yes, the "my friends" thing--it's insidious, isn't it?
Also, terminology, phonyism from the language of the past. People aren't tuning in with that kind of crap anymore; they are turning away, and looking for a new direction.

6. Interesting
My oldest son's SO is a college student. She loves theater. Although she is not "political," she is exposed to the debates, etc, that are on television here. One day she noted that Barack Obama has a big advantage over all the other candidates, because of his voice.
