14. No argument. But please be generous in your estimation
The public view can distort, and politics are a tough business. Just saying it's an important year for progressives and for the nation, and we need to give progressives who mean well the benefit of the doubt.
5. I concur. I am going to happily give at least $25 a month
I'm strictly middle class so I can afford something but not much. I figure $25 or so a month until the election will make me feel good and hopefully others will trickle in a little at a time.
Honestly, I never given a dime to a political campaign but I am this time. I also just signed up at www.johnkerry.com to volunteer some time; I did a little work back in 1992 but nothing since. I also signed for two free Kerry bumper stickers.
I have many reasons to want Bush out but on a selfish note: I have three kids who will be of college age over the next 4 to 8 years and there is no way I would be able to afford to send them all with a repuke in the WH.
A couple of hundred bucks now would pay off hundred fold in more ways than financially.
across both primaries and GE? Not sure that I can afford to give this much but I might. Are contributions for primaries and GE in a "separate pot" or is it all the same limit for 1 candidate?
13. It's $2000 now, $2000 after the convention - $4000 total
I wish I had that much to give!
Bush also has to spend what he has now, before his convention, I think. And he will have less time for fundraising afterwards because his comes second...
