League of Conservation Voters Scorecard: Obama 100%, Hillary 71%

Now, that should put a stop to the elephant baiting of Obama's decisively progressive record.

21. Clinton: 71% 95% 92% 88% w/ 90 lifetime vs. McCain: 29% 45% 56% 36% 6% w/ 26 lifetime
WAY better. The 71% was due to her offshore drilling cloture/final votes.
But note: Sen Hillary Clinton (D) - one of the 2006 Environmental Champions
and was endorsed by the LCV
http://www.lcv.org/campaigns/endorsements

http://www.lcv.org/voterguide

McCain:
http://capwiz.com/lcv/bio/keyvotes/?id=192&lvl=C

Obama's lifetime score: 96 - very good so far

They are both MUCH better than McCain.
McCain is NOT the environmentalist some think he is.
He's not AS BAD as some other republicans, but so what?

Let's not forget the 2008 election is also for Congress!

2008 dirty dozen so far:
Senator Inhofe and Rep. Knollenberg
http://www.lcv.org/newsroom/press-releases/page.jsp?itemID=36450457
Former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer
http://www.lcv.org/newsroom/press-releases/lcv-names-former-u-s-rep-bob-schaffer-to-2008-dirty-dozen.html

No big surprise about Inhofe.

2006 dirty dozen (most lost!):
http://www.lcv.org/newsroom/press-releases/2006-dirty-dozen.html
Sad to say, 2 are democrats, Rep Dan Boren (D) OK-02, Rep Henry Cuellar (D) TX-28

20. Non-Obama supporters don't understand the difference between being able to bring people to your side
and being on the OTHER side.

24. Every candidate's voting record and sponsored legislation is publicly available
people will say all kinds of shit. It's up to each of us to sort it out and decide for ourselves who best represents us.

www.ontheissues.org and vote-smart.org are good places to start. opensecrets.org will help with seeing who is financing the candidates.

Same with Humane Society of the U. S.
She also has higher ratings with other environmental groups.
