i feel like my heart is broken and i loved the guy...but now that he has dropped out, i am giving my full support to senator obama.

we need to turn the page on the politics of fear, and division...and most importantly GEORGE W BUSH.

thanks for tuning in....

4. Leaning that way, but really haven't made up my mind.
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 05:36 PM by Tennessee Gal
I feel fortunate that I was actually able to cast my vote for John in early voting prior to knowing that he would drop out before Super Tuesday.

I will vote Democrat in the GE, but it won't be with much enthusiasm.

downtown you would think obama is the ONLY candidate running...strangely lots of ron paul signs here too.

but yeah...i was an activist for john kerry in 2004, obama has inspired me and i will now give him my full support.

12. Did your experience with the John Kerry campaign...
Sour you on voluteering again? Just wondering. I volunteered for Obama in NH for ten months and it can really wear you out after awhile. I think I'd do it all over again, though! I'm going to volunteer for Jeanne Shaheen, who's running for the Senate against John Sununu. I'd just love to kick some Sununu butt!

24. If John's message gets more play because of O and H
talking about it more, and/or John gets VP or a high cabinet position, then this campaign wasn't in vain at all, was it? If he were veep for 8 years, he just might the next President after that.

15. Welcome. We need you.
I fear that now with John out of the race, and out of the debates, it will be to Hillary's advantage now. She has the super delegates and the lobbyist money and the Washington pull and Mark Penn and James Carville.

I also fear that many of the issues that John challenged more openly than Obama did, especially the issue of class disparity, will now be pushed aside.

I only came to Obama this month. I want you to know that we need your voice and give you a warm welcome to still another uphill battle.

Finally, America lost an important voice today with John's exit. It was a voice we need.

although obama inspires me, i think he needs to address the issues that john was bringing light too more forcefully in order for him to get more edwards supporters.

20. Can't do it myself.
The politics of fear and division are real. And they can't be wished away. The only way to deal with the Repugs is to stand up to them. I can't support making nice with 'em.

Obama at least offers some hope that we'll get a progressive president. With Hillary Clinton, you can bet it'll be a 24/7 campaign operation just like with Reagan, G.H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and the Blowmonkey. She'll cut more deals than Monty Hall.

She'd be better than any Republican, but then a pile of dogshit would be better than a Republican president.

23. He's now our best chance against McCain.
Obama was always in my top three choices. In any normal world where people actually CARED about past performance, that doddering old fuck, Bewsh-huggin "Maverick" McCain would be shit on a shoe. But now, with the very dangerous prospect of him against Hillary (who polls quite poorly against him as opposed to Obama or Edwards), he's my only hope.

Grab JRE as your VP, and you have an unstoppable Dem ticket.

26. Yeah I'm behind Obama
And my wife is too. I feel hopeless today though. I really wanted to see JE in the whitehouse. If his plans on the economy dont get enacted you can stick a fork in America imho.

Give a poor man a dollar and he spends it. Give a rich man a dollar and he triples it by using it to leverage away two poor mens' dollars.

28. me too...anyone but Clinton and her crooked entourage
John was my top choice. Obama is my compromise.
I'll never vote for Hillary. A Clinton nomination or election is at least 4-8 years of setbacks for the progressive movement (possibly more)

I think both Edwards or Obama would have done this. I am happy you are now supporting Barack Obama.

For those who say we can change from politics of fear and division, let us reply "YES WE CAN!"
