And I don't feel sorry for them in the least. Huckabee was our biggest threat, and he's been neutralized.

1. you what i think is funny, all the rw asshats on the radio sans Michael Medved
have been railing against McCain for years and obviously it didn't have any effect and if it did it was negligible.

6. Rush has been particularly nasty to McCain lately.
and all that spew about him on RW radio over the years has effected enough people that even Freepers are saying they would never pull the lever for McCain.

Remember, although McCain won Flordia, it isn't as if he mopped the floor with the other candidates.

2. I disagree Huckabee was a threat.
The GOP establishment hates his guts. They would never allow the nuts (evangelicals) to take over the asylum.

7. McCain only won because Mittens and Hucky split the conservative vote--
that's why McCain wanted Hucky to stay in the race.

is how conservatism looks at this matchup. Neither one really has a chance in the general election, as they will each make a chunk of the base sit out.
