Obama TROUNCED Hillary in S.C. by more than 2 to 1. Obama's down in FL by 17% where
the majority of voters are Hillary's base (old voters). And we don't even know how many more delegates she would've gotten IF she got more than him in FL.

1. Did Obama win South Carolina by a quarter million votes (and counting)?
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 10:03 PM by jackson_dem
It is interesting you point out demographics. First Hillary won among people of all kinds of age groups. Second if any win this year was based on demographics it was Obama's SC win. What is he going to do in large diverse states? That is the story for him coming out of Florida. Not every state is going to have a bloc accounting for half the vote giving you 80% support. What will Obama do in California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, etc.?

20. It was a "beauty contest" as expected
and Hillary got the crown, no surprises in Florida.

Primaries are not representative of the whole population of voters, because those other party voters or NPAs (no party affiliates),they are locked out of the closed primaries in Florida. I'm NPA myself, but I'm following the nomination process with some interest, and I am just hoping the best man or woman will get the nomination for the GE. The only way I'd vote for Hillary is if she tones down the war rhetoric before Nov.

3. Florida is much more representative
of the demographics of the rest of the US than SC is.

But nice try. Sorry your guy didn't do as well as my gal. It probably hurts, huh?

12. Explain, please, about Florida's demographics.
How are Florida's demographics more representative? Doesn't Florida have a large minority population? That isn't representative of the nation as a whole. Also, Florida has the lion's share of elderly voters. That isn't representative, either.
ALSO, HILLARY GAINED NO DELEGATES TODAY. A hollow victory, indeed. Sleep tight now, sweetie.

30. He ran ads in FL. Hillary did not. Hillary did not appear until after
the polls closed. In a few days, i predict that the elder voters will tire of this Obama hysteria and break to the polls to put a damper on his coronation. They would do it much sooner if they are computer literate and read the posts at the DU.

16. will obamanistas be happy if everyone over 50 refuses to vote for him then?
since so many obamanistas seem to dislike older people, they should be screaming with delight if they don't get any of those decrepit oldsters votes. then they will scream bloody murder when their self fulfilling prophecy comes true.

I mean she's beating him by a quarter million votes. And like it or not, that's just a preview of what's going to happen in the big states on super Tuesday. You Obama folks are in desperate need of a trip on the reality train.

25. I will say this again
according to the local coverage. Obama got the votes of those who voted today. Hillary got the early voters. I think they said a third of the state voted early. She still did good.
