However, when you only have one candidate campaigning in the state, well........did you really expect otherwise?

13. I see four names on the ballot.
Right or wrong, Hillary will get the headline.

People don't know about the details.

"Hillary sweeps Florida."

That's what the campaign wants. And that's what they'll get.

26. It actually won't be a headline
If it is, the headline will make sure to give a form of an * to it. "Clinton wins Florida -- Wins No Delegates" Something like that.

Just like they did in Michigan. There won't be any headlines on the Dem side from this.

Its not hard to tarnish these results by simply reminding people that there are no delegates and that Edwards and Obama didn't campaign in the state. This will be a non-story, no doubt.

outside organizations, albeit supporting HRC. There was no substantive activity by HRC in FL, no more than BO did in 9/07 after he signed the pledge.

93. I wonder, without casting aspersions on anyone BELIEVE ME, how
the early and mail in vote counted in this. Olbermann is talking about the polling that says a lot of people voted early and that the late vote broke for Obama. Just saying. Otherwise, I don't know what to think about Florida's vote not counting. What the hell is going on with the rules? John broke 15%. More delegates. GO, JOHN!

By MICHAEL C. BENDER

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

FORT LAUDERDALE — U.S Sen. John Kerry said today that Florida's Democratic primary was "not a legitimate race" and warned against using the results to determine momentum in the race for the nomination.

"The bottom line is that Florida does not offer any delegates," Kerry, the party's 2004 presidential nominee who is supporting Sen. Barack Obama this year, said during a conference call this afternoon with reporters.

"It is not a legitimate race. It should not become a spin race. It should not become a fabricated race. It should not become the very kind of politics that I think the Obama campaign and a lot of us are trying to reject."

Instead of discussion on the merits of a national catastrophe fund, oil exploration in the Gulf of Mexico or Everglades restoration, the battle in Florida's Democratic primary has been over whether the results tonight will be meaningful.

Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign has maintained that even without delegates at stake, the state offers an important snapshot of the race because of the size and diversity of the electorate.

85. 69% of the voters voted BEFORE Obama's win in S.C. and many as early as before Iowa!
So that's irrelevant.

you like HRC. But why do you prefer her so obsessively over Obama or Edwards?

What is the deal? Would it be an imposition to ask you to actually make an argument for WHY we should vote for HRC over Obama??? What is her particular charm, in your eyes?

94. Wow, is this exciting, or what (what being another reason to reject HRC)
Grotesque. I do believe you Hillbots will get the nomination, and this thread is a perfect indication of why (do anything).

Whether you get the win in November is another story. This is astounding, that you would claim this as a win in this primary.
