The ONE thing Ive learned from GD:P lately
Is that we Dems are NOT on the same side. If we were there wouldnt be so many stupid threads about such incredible bullshit.

Dont expect me to believe that the people now claiming that Obama supporters are in some sort of freaky cult are the SAME people that are going to stand beside me if he gets the nomination. I dont buy it. And dont expect me to believe that all the "I hate candidate X because all their supporters are assholes" people will be in the DEM camp either.

In the GE... we'd EXPECT the freepers to make hay out of something as trivial as a lack of handshake. But now we're getting that between "Democrats" and its disgusting. This is exactly the stupid fucking shit that will cause people to stay home in November.

To all the people here looking for petty reasons to HATE any other candidate: YOU are the reason our party has the potential to fail in 2008. While there are "real" reasons to prefer one candidate over the other, it would be more beneficial to speak of them like adults. I call BULLSHIT on all of those who would prefer to use snark and hate as a response to every-fucking-thing.

Yeah... there are SOME supporters in each camp that totally suck. And there are SOME posters here who just seem to want to piss on everyone. But in the many years Ive been reading this board, Ive never seen so much blind hate. I FUCKING REJECT THAT SHIT.

Listen... if YOU are are DEMOCRAT then you should be above the hate and bullshit. These are REPUBLICAN tactics goddamn it!!!! WE are the intelligent ones. REMEMBER?

Are we on the same side or NOT?! Because if we cant come together... there is no fucking point in belonging to the same party. I'M getting to the point where I dont know what to think... and thats not a good thing.

We should be DEFENDING our fellow Democratic candidates against such hate-filled attacks. Not contributing to the bullshit the R's will use against us when this primary is over.

Just saying.

1. Agreed. If all you ever do is just slam one candidate and that candidate's supporters...
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 05:21 PM by SteppingRazor
without either positively discussing the merits of your own candidate or pointing out the foibles of every other candidate, do us all a favor, and eat shit and die.

6. Its gotten so freeper-like...
that its hard to accept this is a Democratic board. Christ! Everyone seems so hung up on their candidate vs. every one else that they've lost sight of the big picture. And the hate is getting to a level that I cant ever see us coming together. What the fuck is up with that? :banghead:

2. Thanks bunnies. With the cable "news channels" and GD:P, I'm concerned
that we will have big trouble in November.

7. We definitely do.
We "Dems" need to stop pissing each other off so much. If we dont, we'll have no one to blame but ourselves.

3. Hey, guys, this cuts both ways
A little self-examination on everybody's part would go a long way.

8. Seriously. Lets line everybody up and look at what's at stake.
Put Obama v Hillary v the Republican on all the issues: Iraq, Global Warming, Health care, civil liberties...We will see that we are arguing about details, but that the real nightmare comes from NOT getting a Dem elected in November.

11. Well, politics isn't for the weak-willed

I'll still vote for whichever of the three wins the nomination, but for the time being I have no qualms about undercutting the support of those who I feel are below-quality candidates, i.e. Kucinich and Obama.

And I understand that you are anti-Obama. Fine.

But I expect better than freeper-like behavior from democrats.
