8. No one would phrase it that way, but that's obviously the implication.

5. Actually, you need electors to win the GE
A majority of votes doesn't mean a think if you don't have electoral college electors. Just ask Al Gore.

10. Electoral votes more closely resemble population votes, at least.

9. Oh, proportionate delegates are a lot easier to win than "all or nothing" electoral votes.
Obama is, as his manager said this morning on Joe, banking on those "proportional delegates." Yaknow, the ones where if you get 30% of the vote you get something like 49% of the delegates.

16. Seems like there was some intention to doing it that way

If primaries are a "purer" form of democracy (one man one vote unless you're a Rethug in some states), then the GE requires that a candidate at least have support in a majority of states, so that you don't get a candidate who's only strong regionally. I see the positive and negative aspects of the electoral college -- I don't know whether it should be abolished or not, but I was really hoping there would be widespread discussion of this in 2000. As I recall, Hillary Clinton was one of the most vocal proponents of getting rid of it, but obviously the Rethugs running the show haven't seen any reason to change a game that's working in their favor.

12. Fortunately Obama has admitted that he will be seating FL delegates, just as any rational person...
...would. But he doesn't recognize that if there was a contest, he wouldn't seat those delegates, thus validating their place in the process as essentially spoiler votes for him, meaning they do hold massive political power in an unlikely scenario.

4. Seriously ... just like the general election is about the electoral COLLEGE
which should probably be done away with until we do, that's the way our system works.

simple dishonesty.

Not that anyone should be surprised by that from you, murkymurk.

18. Take the super delegates that Teddy just racked up for you
away from the Clintons...well Bill can keep his vote

Kennedy has made it clear that the Democratic Party and the voters of America are no longer going to tolerate and ignore the Clintons sordid personal politics.

40% of the delegates are Super Delegates...Teddy's endorsement signals it is ok to switch to Obama
