After watching the shameful SOTU, it's hard for me to want to reach across the aisle!
Part of it I'm sure is post-speech anger seeing the smiling repukes clap for more war and less "entitlements"...but, wow, I really feel no overpowering urge to work together. I guess, like the Dixie Chicks, I'm not ready to make nice. I want to win in November and wipe the floor with them all!

Thanks...I feel better now!

9. Can you spare a square?
I think we need more Repugs visiting public restrooms for thier repressed needs... and our getting to point and laugh at thier hypocracy.

I just wish something had come out about Bush and Cheney!

5. that's funny, when Hillary was in Reno last summer, a person asked her a question
about ending the war and impeachment, and her answer was that they (DEMS) did not have enough votes and they had to reach across the aisle and get Repugs on their side first ...

12. It's hard to feel like working with
the party that applauds the loss of our constitutional rights...that applauds giving insurance companies control over life and death health care decisions, that applauds efforts to strip us of our right to make our own reproductive decisions, that applauds spending our country into ruin to line the pockets of the defense industry...I could go on and on and on.

Can someone remind me again why we want to work with these people?

I hear you about the Dixie Chicks... I'm not ready to play nice either. And after what they have done to our soldiers, the people of New Orleans, the poor, the unisured, and everyone else in America who they have ignored for the past eight years, they need to feel the law of retribution. Its about time we got a new Sheriff in town, and that she or he cleans up all the Repug corruption and nastiness!

14. What I feel in the air is desperation.
So many people are really hurting. I'm not even talking about people who've lost their jobs or don't have health care...and there's plenty of those. But even people who are still working and have health insurance..they're struggling too because the price of everything is way up, no one gets raises anymore...college costs a fortune, but without it our kids have no future. It's so disheartening...and it's going to take someone tough to bring about real change!

13. Same here. Besides, I got enough of the bring-us-together bullshit
under Dick "Bring us together" Nixon and George "I'm uniter, not a divider" Bush.

15. Funny how the rethugs get to smear, attack, and abuse us when they are in power, but
when the Dems get in power, we have to "work together" and "reach across the aisle" and "stop all the partisanship."

It's a double standard meant to manipulate us.

16. Exactly! Where was this "bipartisanship" crap when they were in charge?
Sorry - I couldn't see it past the giant GOP boot on my neck.

Screw his "bipartisanship"! I'd love for them to have to see how it feels to have both Houses and the White House controlled by Dems who don't want to play nice.
