KERRY FOLK - Check in with your 2008 primary support
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 10:28 AM by MrWiggles
I saw the Dean thread and I think it would be interesting to know who is getting the support from Kerry supporters (in the 2004 primaries).

On edit: BTW, I am for Obama.

8. Ditto here too.
Zulch you were one of the first to back Obama and that was a big clue. Like Caroline Kennedy says in her endorsement, sometimes it takes a while for some of us to catch on!

3. Kerry guy then and STILL....
and you KNOW it ain't going to Hillary "throw Kerry under the bus for a botched punchline" Clinton. I'm agreeing with JK and supporting Barrack Obama now-changed from Edwards TO Barrack. Anybody BUT the Clintons

7. Kerry Supporter for Obama
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 10:40 AM by globalvillage
I like Obama's message, but JK's endorsement is what really put me over the top.
He knows him, he trusts him, and I trust Sen. Kerry's judgment.
GObama.

edit to add, I think Obama has the best chance against McCain.

9. Another Kerrycrat for Obama
I was leaning heavily towards Obama before JK made his endorsement. But that confirmed for me that I was making the best choice.

10. I am for Obama now but was a long time Edwards supporter ...
the Clinton camp helped me decide I had to get on the team that can beat the Hillary borg. The attacks did it for me. I can't stand next to such aggressive, arrogant, establishment crap.

14. That's amazing ursi
that's exactly the thinking of my wife and I-we were all for Edwards but since he ain't going to win it-that's become clear, we are switching our support to Obama, partly as a vote AGAINST Hillary

11. A Kerry supporter
who's been a closet Obama supporter since last summer but afraid to really hope that he could make it until the Iowa results came in. JK's defeat was painful. In committing to Obama, it brings the possibility of pain but it also brings hope. I want the change he's talking about.

Yes We Can.

...make that change. I'm more sure than ever, with Caroline Kennedy's endorsement (Ted's, too, but I have daughters :) ).

12. Kerry 2004, Biden 2008
I'm licking my wounds a bit at the moment. Will wholeheartedly support the nominee. I guess you could say I'd like Obama to be that nominee, but I must be one of the few to not feel the excitement at the moment. As corny as it seems, the excitement for me, died on a cold January night in Iowa with Biden's campaign.

It'll be back for November I'm sure.

There WILL be a Democrat in the White House come January 2009, and Mitt Romney will hopefully lose by historic proportions.

Still miss Joe though....

18. Well technically I wasn't a Kerry supporter in 2004
I can't quite remember actually who I voted for in the primaries that year, I didn't feel strongly about any particular candidate.
But I wanted to compliment you on a thoughtful and interesting thread Mr. Wiggles, something this forum needs more of!
For the record, I support Edwards but Obama is my second choice.:hi:

20. This place here is brutal. :-)
I have been a Kerry supporter and I like Obama although I have been indiferent (undecided) for most of this primary season. Edwards is my second choice. I didn't have much against Clinton but lately her campaign is turning me off.

25. Kerry supporter here.
And I don't haven't supported a candidate yet. I like both Hillary and Obama.

As for John, I remember what he said after he won Iowa. He was such a terrific speaker. He could have turned this country around with his experience and vision.

"I have a special message for the special interests that have a home in the Bush White House: We’re coming, you’re going and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”"

29. Sorry for the intrusion...
I was a Dean guy actually (Obama guy now), but I couldn't help poking my head in here to see the sentiments of Kerry Folk. And you have really proved me wrong! I would have bet money this thread would have been full of Clinton supporters, but I count far more Obama supporters so far.

I like that!

33. You see? This thread served a good purpose
It cleared up some wrong perception.

For the people who were here in 2004, it is refreshing to see Kerry people and Dean people uniting for Obama. :toast:
