Batman could totally beat up Spiderman
What? Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was the "schoolyard superhero supremacy" discussion forum, based on how thoroughly people cleave to wholly-good/wholly-evil caricatures of actual human beings. Is being able to tie oneself in Gordian knots of rationalization to defend one's idol a super power, do you think? Maybe it's too common an ability. At least, it never leaves the schoolyard, right?

26. Umm I've never understood anyone who says that Batman can beat another superhero
Batman is probably the worst superhero to ever exist. He doesn't even have any natural powers, he relies on technology. He should not be claassified as a super hero.

With the chunk of Kryptonite he keeps in his utility belt. Or with the Kryptonite studded gauntlet he keeps in the Batcave.

31. DC universe, Marvel universe. They don't exist on the same plane.
Though Spidey is stronger and faster, hypothetically, all Bats has to do is threaten Aunt May, and Spidey would run sobbing to Mephisto to alter reality to undo it.

36. Actually, I think Batman is more tech-savvy, or at least better tech-connected.
But Peter Parker is a resourceful scientist and I have to side with the scientists -- in Galileo's time and in a time when the Bush administration is so anti-science.

Go, SpiderMan!

There would be no chance.

39. Oops. I forgot a key point. Tony Stark would have a great advantage in
the beating-up category over both the others.

Iron-Man has a film due out sometime or other this year.

Not sure, but I think Robrt Downey, Jr. plays the lead.

42. I can't believe the venom in this thread!
Some joker posts crap about Batman and Spider-man, and carnage unfolds. I hate dealing with the two-face SOBs who persist at making DU the nightmare that it has become. It makes me want to put poison ivy in their pillow and send them off to visit the sandman. I wish we had some kind of scarecrow to prevent these kinds of posts!

45. Hi, DuStrange. I'm a Silver Age Marvel collector and think Jack Kirby is God.
For me, any post that sets aside politics for a moment and plunges into the world of comics is a treat.

If there were churches that worshipped the original Thor of the Marvel series JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, I'd probably show up every Sunday.
