3. The second half
Was much better for him. The first half he and Hillary looked like to kids on the playground, and Edwards was the only "adult"! He did stand up to Hillary, and that was worth watching the debate.

I too am an Edwards supporter.

6. OhioChick, we see it the same way.
I'm an Obama fan, but tonight John was amazingly gracious and showed great temperment and humor. And the interplay between Obama and John was warm and genuine. Americans like that.

Hillary came out with knives and, as the early indications show, she turned off a lot of people.

But, I think Edwards won the night.

He is now clearly my second choice. I just like him and Elizabeth. I trust them.

9. HRC was shouting again tonight - it's getting to be a habit.
What was that barb about the slum lord in Chicago - I missed it the first time and again just now due to my stupid phone ringing for work....arrgghhh

18. You're Right David, We're on the Same Page...
I also believe that HRC turned off many potential supporters. The average voter doesn't care to witness that.

Both candidates deserve congratulations. I called the debate a tie between the two.

8. I agree! And I also believe Obama and Edwards both dominated!
Even with all the attacks. Obama actually did well standing in the middle and taking it from both sides.

11. I always enjoy the exchanges between Barack and John.
They discuss issues and policies, respectfully.

They are both a credit to the Democratic Party.

politics, John was gracious and pounced when the time was right.

19. As an Obama supporter, I say Edwards won hands down
But I think this was good for Obama to stand up and fight the attacks. It was definitely a new side to Obama we'd not seen much before. He wasn't entirely comfortable doing that, but he gained confindence as the debate went on. Edwards came off as the most affable and most focused on the issues while Sens. Obama and Clinton slugged it out in the first half. I could pick on a lot of little things with all three, but all made me proud to be a Democrat tonight (well, for most of the time). I mean compared to the Repugs, our Dems actually had some intelligent, drawn-out discussion over things that matter. That bodes well for November.
