I can't wait until the primaries are over
We are going to unite against the GOP candidate then, right?

2. Listening to some people here, I wonder
However, we hear that a lot and the reality of what the last 8 years was like and who the republikkans are running will set in and most will vote for the nominee because we can't afford another 4-8 years of this mess.

3. Me neither.
This place is getting depressing with all the negativity about our candidates. Honest to God, reading some of these posts here, you'd think our candidates were worse than Rudi, Rudi, and Tom....combined. Personally, I think the race is over when the primaries are decided, so I do understand why the partisans are pushing their favorite and trashing the competition. Luckily, Democrats will be turning out in force in November, supporting whoever the candidate will be. Change happens only if we elect a Democrat. Protestations from certain DUers, notwithstanding.

Edwards is my choice, but I'll happily support Obama or Hillary should they win the nomination.

4. Agreed
I am positive that a President Clinton, Obama or Edwards would never compare homosexuality to bestiality (Huckabee), or keep us in Iraq for another 100 years (any Rethug candidate, except Ron Paul).

5. We will unite only....
If Obama or Edwards is the nominee. If it is Hillary, it's not happening. She and Bill have created too much bad blood. Even 10% of democrats won't vote for her now. She probably wouldn't even get the black vote.

7. Nah
the bad blood cuts both ways. It's not going to affect only one candidate.

And of course if she's the nominee, she'll get the vast majority of the African-American vote.

6. I hope you're right, but I fear you're wrong.
I respect people who honestly and sincerely support the Democratic candidate of their choice, even if it's not my choice. However, some are declaring that if their candidate doesn't get the nomination, they'll a) Not vote at all; b) write in their candidate; c) Move to another country. Some say that any candidate not theirs is "the same as a Republican." That, of course, is absurd. There is NO Democratic candidate who would be even close to being a McCain, a Romney, or a Giuliani.

I agree about wanting the primaries to be over.
