Many white swing voters in SC waiting to vote in the Democratic Party Primary
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 06:27 PM by jefferson_dem
A savvy analyst: "It looks like many white swing voters in SC may be waiting for next Saturday to vote. GOP voters comprise 79% of turnout today, up 18% from 2000."

3. Voters could either vote in the Repug primary today of in the Dem primary next Saturday.
The fact that self-identified Repugs comprised such a large portion of today's voters means many self-identified Independents will grab the Dem ballot next week.

6. Republic ian turnout up 18% is good for Dems?
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 06:29 PM by Tulkas
I don't know if you can assume that the Democratic turnout will be higher just because the Republican turnout was up.

This may be true, we have seen record turnouts so far.

What if Democratic turnout is up 16% from 2000? Would that be good for us? If it is up 26% then I will agree.
