Why is Hillary trying so hard to pretend she doesn't admire Reagan?

Statement of Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on the Death of Former President Reagan

Hillary and I will always remember President Ronald Reagan for the way he personified the indomitable optimism of the American people, and for keeping America at the forefront of the fight for freedom for people everywhere. It is fitting that a piece of the Berlin Wall adorns the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington.

President Reagan demonstrated his strength and resolve after leaving office when he shared his struggle with Alzheimer's Disease with the world. We will always remember his tremendous capacity to inspire and comfort us in times of tragedy, as he did after the loss of the space shuttle Challenger. Now he, too, has "slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God," and we can rest assured that, as joyous a place as Heaven is, his wit and sunny disposition are making it an even brighter place to be.

Hillary and I send our prayers to Nancy, their children and their many friends and family, as well as our gratitude for the life of a true American original.

2. Well gee, have you ever been to a funeral and you knew the
person in the casket was really not the person the preacher and the firends and relatives spoke of. It is called respect for the family and if I had been invited to speak at reagans funeral, I doubt serious I would say reagan was a racist and what I care about is that Reagan, the patron saint of the Conservative Movement, made a career out of deliberately appealing to the racist vote. it brought him to power and it was a constant tool throughout his career. Reagan acted in public as a racist acts. He deliberately set out to appeal to racists and continue the odious Southern Strategy. In doing so, he helped to mainstream racism in the GOP and thus the country. No, I would not say that out of respect since he was a President and second out of respect to his family.....

Liking someone is a far cry from saying Reagan was inspiring to the whole country when his policies hurt blacks, hispanics and poor whites and he sure as hell did not inspire the "whole country" and I doubt either clinton would say that in a political campaign, but would say respectful things like I liked Reagan...

9. It's okay for people to change their opinions based on the situation?
Yep. That pretty much sounds like a Clinton thing to do.

16. Another thread by the person who helps Republicans more than Democrats
Just look at the number of anti-Clinton threads you've posted in the last 24 hours. I'm sure that Republicans everywhere wish to thank you for all your many superb anti-Clinton threads. Later this year they'll have an encyclopedia of propaganda to use, thanks to you!

25. It was a funeral. And Hillary said she admired Reagan's communication skills....
...and so did the rest of the galaxy.

Take the advice of that poster: send Obama an e-mail and tell him to think before he even gives the perception that he supports Republicans - past and present.
