Support from a majority of North Dakota Democratic state lawmakers and members of two unions should help John Edwards in next month’s state Democratic presidential caucuses, his backers say...

Tim Purdon, a Bismarck attorney who is the state Democratic Party’s treasurer, said Thursday that Edwards has been endorsed by unions, representing carpenters and steelworkers, that have about 2,500 North Dakota members.
