Political Pundits-Bipolar by choice???
I ask because when they discuss the republican side of the race it's like a cast from Saturday Night Live. And I mean right down to skits of each character engaging in zany behavior. But then when it comes to the Democrats they suddenly turn all "serious" and feel they must discuss only the "top two candidates"??? I post JEDENE on this board not to irritate other posters but to remind them that many stories posted that are discussions of our "top two candidates" are ABSOLUTELY introduced by the MSM to frame our debate and limit our choices....we've lost Biden,Dodd,Richardson,Kucinich, and now by near fiat Edwards is being disappeared. They gave up Tom Tancredo-so who's winning???

1. That cuts both ways, though.
One could argue that they're helping the Dems. By continuing to talk about also-rans like Fred Thompson, the media continues to demonstrate that the GOP primary is a complete mess, with no clear candidate, or even a couple of clear frontrunners. As a result, the GOP gets fragmented and could possibly go into their convention without knowing who the candidate is -- a situation that puts the eventual candidate at a disadvantage in the general election.

3. I'm not dismissing your point.
Far from it!

I'm just saying that the media narrative doesn't necessarily hurt Democrats (granted, it hurts Edwards) more than it hurts Republicans.
